  • on the glass did you put top and bottom runner on before you put the glass on?Also did you use u shape runners?

  • could you make this video any less detailed?

  • why did you put a hamster in a reptile cage

  • @BeardedDragonPet60

    Om nom nom nom ;)

  • @chany708 How much did you spend for this whole tank setting it up?

  • Where do you get the runners for the glass panels?

  • @Mashirochan1991 Try Home depot or lowes. I just got some there For about ten bucks for a 7 foot runner. Good luck:)

  • Hey all! 200x80x100cm will that do good for a full grown tegu? im gonna do it with this materials and stuff but just the 200x80x100cm measure. will it be good???? by the way what wood is that

  • @reptilman94 yes thats good for a tegu u probaly have it all setup by now but yes its big for a tegu. i wat a tegu so bad and know i have got money so where did u buy yours from

  • where did you get the glass from

  • I like the song. I've never heard of Scott Matthews...is that Dave Matthews brother? LOL

  • that shit probably smelt like shit after a while

  • wat happens wen the power goes out? how can u warm them up? geckos i mean

  • @katiewolf1100 I don't have geckos. But where I live the power goes off a lot in the winter. I bought some steralite boxes of various sizes (for each sized snake) and used a soldering iron to make ventilation holes (you can use anything to make holes). When the power goes out I just put all the snakes in their boxes and move them to the living room where our only heat source is during power outage. Room temp is 73 usually.

  • @wingedsweetheart thanks

  • I have that exact same bench at my place, lol

  • What size is this cage??

  • im going to build a huge one for my savannah monitor and a medium one for my chinese water dragon

  • @PKkawasaki I have a hard time understanding you speak like a retard, sorry

Are you butthurt from your dad?

  • @PKkawasaki dumbass.... still made me laugh though

  • Nice terrarium, just planning my own dessert terrarium and publish plans and detailed descriptions. Your video is really great will try do do the same with my construction! :-)

  • very helpful thank you

  • ALL THAT WORK FOR A FREAKIN HAMSTER?!

  • this was no help at all next time TALK

  • @MultiBeardeddragons well its very easy even a kid like me got his point. next time you buy a cabinet or something, be sure not to buy the ready made. it helps you understand some building skills by eyes

  • If you are worried about sanitary stuff you could always run a glue gun along the inside edges which will seal it off well. Possibly?

  • tis is not an reptile enclosure

  • how much did it cost in american dollars

  • @knifecollector98 I'm sure if you put down the bucket of fried chicken for more than 20 seconds you could probably work it out based on previously answered questions.

    Typical yank attitude

  • @knifecollector98 fair bit for glass... id say about 120 bucks to make this, so about 110 for u.s

  • What wood is best for reptiles I want to build a cage for a Chinese Water Dragon.

  • is it bad to varnish or seal the wood from the inside?

  • what exactly were ur dimentions?

  • If you where to sell this, how much do you think you could make?

  • its sick...

I dont want to be a boner, but dont you need a metal screen on top if its for reptiles?

If its for hamsters its fine but still 0_o..

cool terrarium, i never would of thought of that!

  • @MrLuckymimi yea its a good idea to have a screen of some size anwhere in the terrarium for ventilation.

  • OMG thank you soooo much!

  • That's the nicest terrarium i have ever saw! And i don't care that i already have one, i will try this one too!

  • How big are the Dimensions?

  • Regarding the design of this enclosure, it's quite simple yet effective. Nice job, chany708.

  • kinda seems like a overly complicated way of demonstrating something easy lol

  • what type of wood is that?

  • Looks like pine, which is bad news for reptiles...

  • @nimnestl whats wrong with pine? is cedar allright?

  • @crosby8737 As they cure, pine and cedar release noxious fumes that are detrimental to the sensitive respiratory systems of reptiles and other small animals- even humans. If you must use one of the two, however, try to find kiln-dried plywood, seal it with a few coats of water-based sealer, and let it dry for several days before putting your pet in it.

  • @crosby8737 Nooo cedar is just as bad! Aspen would be fine. Not sure what's available in your area

  • @NicoStormer its around $71 in the american dollars

  • its allot easyer to put a piece of lexan for the front , and the roof becomes a door with a latch for locking. make it mostly a mesh top for lighting and heating.

  • just buy one for that price lol

  • this should be helpful

  • what bout Lighting ?

  • 45 you can buy 1 for that lol

  • Hey saw this video this morning, went out bought all the wood and just finished putting it together. Where did you get the runners for the glass? Thanks!

  • how much money did this cost you in toatle to build thanks ???

  • It cost about 45 pounds in total.

  • @chany708 What is 45 Pounds in American dollars

  • @NicoStormer Are you Americans really that lazy that you cna't open a new tab and search 'currency converter' on Google?!?!

  • @Ifuclickhereurnotgay im american and thts exactly what i did its not tht hard its jus tht some ppl r lazy.

  • @Ifuclickhereurnotgay hey shutup, thats only fat slobs.

  • @chany708 he said cost not weigh

    lol jk

  • @TheWaldorock pounds is the english currency

  • @comanderkuddles jk means just kidding

  • @chany708 wat does that equal in dollars??/

  • @chlonn2cute4u about $70

  • @chany708 how much is 45 pounds in us dollars

  • @chany708 whats lino

  • @chany708 Going to b&q in a few hours to get started on a 2 tier one, Adding 2 water falls inside with water res in the bottom, Gonna be fun, Will post a video!

  • What type of wood should you use? just wondering?

  • Awesome , you have inspired me to build a own terrarium for Rambo ( my leo gecko)

  • nice video it helped out

  • this the best one iv seen!! im going to base mine on this video!! its amazing

  • one thing im wondering is where do the cables go like for stuff in the tank e.g. the thermometer

  • @aliyoung9 just change the design to whatever you need. like me i am putting screen on the top

  • would this altogether be alot cheaper than something you would buy from a pet store???

  • @FISHmann100

For the size, value, and usability it would be. What you would likely find at a pet store at the size you can build one of these would likely be well around 100 dollars or more, undamaged, and brand new. Also, you wont find anything that would really compare to something you build. You can easily hang your lighting inside, or just make the top much lower, and build the light source into it. ^_^ You can get creative, and personalize.

  • @FISHmann100 oh hell yea you would save at least 100$

  • This is effing great

  • very nice

  • What kind of wood did you use?

  • cool

  • this video stinks

  • So quick and easy great vid man

  • hey i was wondering if that enclosure be suitable for a corn snake , also how long it took and how much it cost roughly ?

  • exelent work....

  • this would not work as a reptile enclosure, you would have too many prey escapes

  • What is That wood there ... will hardboard or MDF do for a reptile cage .. as i want cheap wood coz my cage is goin to be huge

  • @19heato95 lol i see u on most of the vids on yt now lol

  • @19heato95 yes mdf is fine me and my dad built one over the past few weeks it looks great also it much stronger may i suggest making a vivarium/ tv cabnet thats what we did :)

  • what is tht wood

  • Where did you get the runners for the doors i cant find them anywhere? plz help

  • i got the glass doors cut from a glass warehouse (there is usually always a place on an industrial estate) and i got the runners off ebay.

  • @taraol88 hey if in america try loas if in uk try B&Q i got steel ones from B&Q 4 23.99

  • Hey wut did you mean the hamster is no more did you feed it to a snake or did you just move it and what kind of reptile did you get

  • If i may make a suggestion use melamine so you wont have to treat the wood and it wont warp from heat or moisture cus that is what is required for reptile

  • great tank would u be able to use this for a frog

  • GR8 thinking with the shelf i guna put 1 in mine now!!! XD

  • dude thats a really nice set up i love it

  • im curious. can i place an addhesive heat pad on the bottom of the wood (im plannin on building a snake terrarium) or should i just use glass bottom? ty

  • glass

  • how much did this cost u?

  • it would coats $40-55$ for the woou and the pex glass $30 to 50$ sheet or reg glass is 40 or more your look ing a round $100.00

  • thats how much i paid for my melamine viv

  • @pingpongbubu what size tank are you making, im making a 16 in. by 34 in. by 12in. and it will only cost like $40

  • thats great really nice job im favoriting this video! dang! 5 star

  • how much did this cost you

  • about £45.

  • without sealing the inside thats going to be a sanitary nightmare

  • @biggoofybastard what do you mean?

  • @TomJamesPrice if the wood isn't sealed inside yo9u wont be able to completely remove waste

  • @biggoofybastard what do you mean?

  • @FOXfulll3000 if the wood isnt sealed it will be impossible to sanitize the feces will soak into the wood and breed bacteria

  • that is an awesome enlcosure and tutorial thx alot

  • dam thats nice if i see this on sale id buy it

  • how would u heat ur reptile after its all finished>?

  • cut a hole in the top just like in the front and staple wire mesh over it

  • somehow make a way to feed the cable from the lamp through a top corner in the cage and just screw the fixture into place!

  • i bet the most expensive part was the glass wasnt it? very well done. im gonna build one very similar to this only a little longer for a bearded dragon. great work!

  • yeah it was, the wood was very cheap.

  • @chany708 oh and one more question befor i piss you off, do i have to use linoleum? or can i just have the substrate on the bare wood.

  • @thsocom41 can i use polycarbonate sheets for the door. and whats the diference between polycarbonate and plexi galss. i just want to know if its safe for my leopard geckos

  • I can't believe you made that magnificent cage and ended up putting a hamster inside.. lol

  • kool vid nice cage

  • nice vid man 5 star and a subscribe

  • how big is it

  • love the tank .. the video is very helpfull but i cant seem to find a glass runner any help?

  • go on ebay

  • yeah ebay or a DIY store

  • how much dose this all cost?

  • I've watched this a billion times!

I also want to know how much this costs overall.

  • i spent about £45 on it overall

  • How much did it cost in total and were did you get the stuff from?

  • nice video.. not smart to put a hamster in there though the scent is gona stay in there and ur puttin a snake in there it gona smell food all the time

  • hes not putting a snake in there, the hamster is his PET

  • Thanks a bunch! Once I get a job I'm going to build mine too!

  • !!Where did you get the runners and glass panels? I think I could find them at home depot, but I haven't been able to yet...

Very elegant looking, I can't wait to make my own!

  • i got the runners off ebay but home DIY stores should stock them and the glass i had to get cut from a glass warehouse.

  • Nice cage design im noy goin to lie.... I give you props but never use plywood... They only thing i have to say is your video could have been a little slower so i could understand the instructions but i really do believe you begoins your own little business... I would buy one for my ball pythons.

  • thanks

why shouldnt ply wood be used?

  • Like OMFG my wife, kids and myself must all be going to die since plywood was used in partial construction of my house!!! They also say never use pine shavings around animals to. My rodents live on pine just as well as they ever did on aspen only no aspen mites on the pine :)

  • accualy you could varnish the inside but with coffe

  • what kind of wood did you use? please respond!

  • normal plywood

  • never use plyood it has chemicals in it that r given off as time goes on that r harmful to humans and animals and may end up killing your animal

  • how much did that cost in total

  • about £45

  • how much would that cost in american

  • wow, thank you very much! I was looking for a video on how to build a terrarium like this forever! I need to build 2 cages in the future, one for my bearded dragon (im getting him a girl so they need more space) and one for my chinese water dragon.

  • Thats luxury

  • chany i used ur shelf idea

  • that's awesome i might try this

cuz it was suck a small price for a good project man 5* fo' u :D

  • wut size tank is it

  • its 1m x 20" x 20"

  • do you need to put any special chemicals on to disinfect it or anythin

  • what kind of wood did you use and how do you install the display glass to the sliders

  • its just standard ply wood and i put one panel in one side of the bottom runner and it was tight but managed to slot it into the top runner and did the same for the other panel

  • @chany708 whats the orange tape for

  • how much money did you spend buildoing the cage??

  • i spent about £40 making the whole thing.

it took probably around 5 - 6 hours workin on it.

i didnt fit lamps in it at the time but the clamps and bulb holders etc can be screwed in at the top corners, or wherever.

several venalation holes were screwed in at the sides in a circular pattern.

yeah a metal net for the top would work it could be stapled on around the edges using a staple gun.

  • how long did this take?

  • theres one problem .... where did u but the heat pads/ Lamps ???

  • I was also wondering this, as well as ventilation?

  • @cutetxblonde he drilled holes into the plexi glass

  • cool thanks

  • all that work for a god damn hampster huh lol but it looks goods

  • ok in american dollors how much would this cost becouse im getting a red iguanna next month and i need to build the terrarium pronto. thankyou and very nice job. :-P

  • for everything alltogether on it i payed out about £45 which in dollars is about $80

  • cool idea, just where does it breathe from.

  • im gonna make one for my leopard gecko i wouldnt put a top on or you could make the top out of a net or something ( metal net if putting lamps on top

  • Oh cool. Ya. I made a lid for one of my cages, I didn't stick on a heat lamp. There's Green Anoles in there, I'm just using like a desk lamp, but the light goes high, just like the heat lamps. And there cage is at the right temperature, So I guess it's working. I just aim it down on them.

  • where did you buy the runners

  • they are sold usually in every hardware st
