its not a half bike half scooter its a bike with a automatic gearbox and clutch plus its chain driven. the DNA now that's a half bike half scooter. but i love this bike to bits i even love how you can shift the gears when ever you feel like it :D
can anyone please make video of the mana actually accelerating in the automatic setting? it is really annoying because there are no videos of this bike accelerating quickly in automatic. ANd how does it down shift in automatic mode? do you use the finger shifters or the foot shifter? i am SOOOO confused.. thanks
@monsterdrum19 I'd like to see that too. I'd also like them to differentiate between a scooter / belt type transmission (like that on the Suzuki Burman) and an actual metal gearing transmission like that on the Honda VFR 1200. I had a Suzuki Burgman 650 that had an automatic transmission and it was damn fast! It would leave any cruiser behind and many sport bikes. And the top end was amazing. I once cruised at 105 mph for 95 miles without letting off once.
I rode one from my local garage the other day! Big Up berkshire bikes in Slough. Its a truely cool bike. Nice and torque'ee. Brilliant for the everyday commute or a brilliant courier machine. I actually loved it. shame the top end is rather bland, but the torque down low makes up for it. So well planted too,so stable,
Overall a fantastic machine says a fzs 600 fazer rider.Chuck a topbox on the back and you store 2 helmets and walk away!how cool is that?? Loved it!so did my pillion on the day.
Could they not have chosen abetter dry day for this? They are just making the bike look slow and pathetic. there is very little about acceleration or handling at speed. what is the difference between the three auto modes???
this bike will be great for all the left hand brachial plexus injured ex bikers like me !!! to all you bikers that think its not a proper bike try looking up the injury known as the bikers injury !! and if it ever happens to you then you known that there may still be a chance to ride again !
Who cares what they think? This is a great real motorcycle whether you have physical challenges or not. I love my Tuono and would love my wife to pick one of these up to ride.
I'm a right brachial plexus from italy ! lol this will be my future bike ! alsocheck out disabike an italian factory that produce adaption for bike for disable people !
its lika a bbig scooter, automatic gears..., theres a lot of storage space where the fuel tank should go.. They should make one with a feature which could switch between automatic and manual gearbox. Looks alright though
Looks to be a nice new Aprilia. The trip modes and shifting not to mention storage are interesting to me. The bike looks some what ike the Aprilia Shiver 750, which is a great handling bike with 95hp. Does anyone have an honest opinion about the handling and specs on the Mana. Does anyone have any behind the handlebars ( not behind computer screen) experience?
I wouldn't buy it,as i wouldn't ever buy any automatic bike or car.
But, as a commuter vehicle to go around the city daily and then take it with sequential on the weekends it looks like one of the best bikes one could get.
It looks like a big proper bike, it should be a breeze to ride around town and it has room for your helmet and gear, something i actually envy.
I think it's a great idea, altough I'm sticking with Triumph
Oi, women bikers like a proper gearbox, too, you know.
I wonder if the "rain mode" stops it kicking out the back wheel when it downshifts? I wouldn't trust an autobox on a bike, it looks slow and dull. If you want a big scooter, get a Silver Shadow or a Burgomaster.

Why do people call automatic motorcycles part scooter, would you call an automatic car part go-cart?

does have the feature of switching to sequential "gear change". But it has to be simulated, because there's no gears in the box
