So, I'm confused. Were the four Unique set levels (Beast of a Level, Menacing etc) deleted on later versions? Because they're the ones I have on my emulator version, but on the physical copy I have for my Amiga, they're absent and replaced by normal set levels (Fun: "Go for it!" Tricky: "Lemming Lament" Taxing: "It's not over 'til it's over" Mayhem: "Don't make the wrong choice!"). Never known why they're different on my actual copy.

@Lemmingology I've heard those called "budget" levels, because it was cheaper when you didn't have to pay for royalties because of the extra graphics and music. Strangely, I've also heard that it actually cost more - but I may be mistaken.

By the way, trivia: Did you know those levels are on the SMS version as well?

Yes, I can't believe I actually beat this game at around 13-14 years old! I'm getting crazy now just thinking at some of the levels!

Fully destructible environments long before developers bragged about fully destructible environments. Lemmings was so far ahead of its time it was unbelievable.

Next time someone tells me how destructible the environments in his new game are and treats it like a new innovation, I'm gonna call him senile.

copyright my friend, shadow of the beast 2 was copyrighted to amiga and wasn't ported to all versions of the game. same for the other special levels.

Perhaps I'm thinking of the wrong thing, but

"A beastII of a level" is included in the DOS version...

Most (if not all) of other versions had it removed along with the following levels:

Beast of a level (22 Fun)

Menacing (14 Tricky)

What an AWESOME level (15 Taxing)

They were all present in the SNES version too. That one had "All The Sixes" changed instead because Nintendo used to be a bit wussy in their censorship. Also, the levels with "HEAVEN" written in the air were changed to read "PARADISE" because again, Nintendo were funny about their censorship.

Not being able to finish Lemmings doesn't make someone unintelligent, but I still always laugh when someone says it's too hard, and tell them how I beat it when I was 8. I know, it isn't very nice.

Haha i recognize myself in that^^ Being a swede I learned English partly from this game when i was around 6-9 years old. Never finished the entire game thou. Mom always made me quit playing after a while but i always got further and further :)

Did anyone else play the megadrive (genesis) version of the game? the only 2 levels in the entire game I couldn't beat wer sunsoft level 29 'I am A.T' and present level 30 'Final Impediment'. I remember being so happy when I beat 'evacuating a coal mine'. was only about 8, this was/is such a great game

I'll give you a tip on the "We all fall down" levels that works on them all except for the Mayhem version:

Immediately set the release rate to 99 and then when all lemings are out, use the digger cursor and go from left to right and click as much as you can.

i just wanted to point out that if anyone has played Lemmings 2 Tribes on the SNES version, if you notice on the Classic tribe, they took one of the songs off this version of Lemmings. sounds exactly alike the version of Amiga Lemmings, the only difference is they cut off the drum beat part.

This version of the video here is better, because it has the ORIGINAL AMIGA LEVELS and MUSIC! For Example A Beast and A BEAST II of a Level, an AWESOME Level and so on... These Levels or the original Music from the Amiga Classic Games are not included in any other conversion!

These melodies and memories from my childhood will be remembered my whole live. Furthermore these were some of the pearls of the beginning of the computer gaming area...
