haha yes! the second the video showed the hill i knew right where u were. dont u hate the soft ride on the dunes tho? i have a 4.5" rustys on my xj and it bottoms out way too often. i want something i could adjust the stiffness.
I'm on Jeep #5 so I've driven the 3.8 and the 4.0 lots of miles on and off road. The power frome each is really a wash. Feels the same. So the 3.8 hits at a bit higher RPM, so what. Its all good, I love my 80 Rubi JK but miss my 2000 TJ to.
I drive a jeep, lifted it gave me trouble. Until I upped the suspension. Don't lift it you are ok lift it you have to mod it. eclipse? Seriously chick car!
SgtPettyBryan do you know how to speak English? I dont even know what you said. But, Jeeps were meant to be lifted. if you had problems with your lift, then it was a bad installation, not a jeep problem.
I love jeeps but I heard they get shakey at like highway speed, thats why I got an eclipse!! haha I love driving fast can anyone disprove the rumor of highway shakes?
if you can find the TJ model.(years 97 to 06) get one of those..they are much better off road and very tough..the new 07 and up jeeps are plasticy and underpowered with a minivan engine..the TJs have the 190 hp 4.0 Liter engine and it makes alot of torque
I bought a 98 Tj pretty cheap, plopped some ape lockers, 34 inch Swampers, 4 inch lift, 4.56 gears and a atlas transfer case. Voila who needs a Rubicon payment? I go like a stock Rubicon never dreamed....and for less dough.
Not sure what "soft" means, but it's very smooth, not harsh or bouncy. Hope this answers your question. If your ever in Michigan, stop by and go for a ride!
@aeropostalbaby1 haha... I guess it posted over and over for some reason. never happened before. Pretty cool of BDS to answer 3 times and not be like WTF is wrong with you or something. hah. Props to them for that. maybe this will only post 1 or 2 times. lol.
@madcapperx lol. word. ive had it double post me efore. never triple. i thought it was kinda cool that he gave you a differet answer for each one. i think its his job though.

That "minivan engine" has a bullit proof bottom end and they are supercharging them +100 hp
and where do the stock ones fall in the HP/TQ game?
4.0L = 190hp and 225 ft/lbs
3.8L = 202hp and 237 ft/lbs
What specs did you come up with that made you think the 4.0L was a more powerful engine?
and have you offroaded a 07-10 JK?
You would be Amazed at what a JK can do.
08 Rubi owner.

LOL. But you have to look at where the torque is placed. The 4.0 makes most of its torque between 1k and 2500 rpms i believe. The 3.8 doesnt do that.
I have grown to love the JKs as i have wheeled 2 of them. Both lifted. They are nice but i have been spoiled with my 4.0

5.3 Gm motor is an easy swap. Results in great power and better economy by several MPG. Pays for itself in about 5 years of average driving:)

very nice!!! How soft does that suspension ride?
madcapperx 3 years ago
It rides very good both on and off road. This system is a great daily driver and a off road "FLEX" monster!
bdssuspension 3 years ago
you guys have any super soft riding 2-3" jk springs?
madcapperx 3 years ago
Very comfortable, not to soft and still very much in control on both street and dirt.
bdssuspension 3 years ago
sorry for the questions... my town has only 100k people in it, and I will be the first running BDS that I know of.
