  • Lol, half the moter is sitting inside the cab! Pretty damn awsome setup though dude. I'm jealous. I'll bet it get's loud in there haha.

  • how hard was it to install this? my dad has a 73 g20 that originally came with a 400 but he replaced it with a 350, he had to cut the grill out to get the new motor in, is that what you had to do also? i love the van its bad ass

  • @thedamnredneck It wasn't easy. You don't take the engine out the front, you take it out the bottom.

  • Hows that 5 speed working out being in a van?

  • @AdamW582 Very well, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The shifter isn't as far back as you would think, and it's nothing a custom shifter can't take care of. It was harder making the hydraulic clutch setup work.

  • There are three things cool about this, 1)it's a VAN 2) it's a 4x4 VAN and 3)it's a 4x4 VAN with a CUMMINS!

  • @aftoyboy Thanks, I really appreciate it!

  • the real man van lol

  • I never comment on vids but I had to on this one...one word...masterpiece!

  • @joedirtcr250 Thanks for making mine an exception. The van has quite a fallowing now in my town.

  • SICK!!!

  • A MAN WITH SKILLS IS A MAN AHEAD OF THE GAME. GREAT JOB. LOVE IT

  • @MrFtroop72 Thanks!

  • Nice! I should post vids of my custom '95.

    See it at :

    pimpmyvan.blogspot

  • @Didgeman80 I'll check it out!

  • Very impressive! Do you have lockers or are the diffs open? I would have chosen a longer wheelbase van to be able to drop in a gear splitter but otherwise, you chose the perfect combo as far as engines/transmissions are concerned.

  • @AlabamaCrackerHonkey Rear locker, open front. Don't know why you would need a gear splitter with a cummins though, unless you rock crawl? but then the longer wheel base would cripple more than the gear splitter would help, so I guess I'm confused. I don't rock crawl, it's not a very good vehicle for that.

  • Hats off to you. Super clean install.

  • that is the coolies tang ever...

  • WOW!!! That is REALLY a fine job! Great choice of rig for the swap too.

  • this is really awsome you did a really good job!

  • A true work of art! Very clean job.

  • Words cannot explain the level of want

  • I like how you contoured the front bumper.

  • @briansmobile1 My wife keeps bugging me to contour the rear a little too, I thought it looked ok being straight, but she usually gets what she wants, I'll put it on my list.

  • @gb66gb Your wife gives a damn about your work and gives feedback? WOW! That's pretty cool.

  • @briansmobile1 HEY!!!!!!!!! Don't remind her, it will take me weeks to get her head to deflate to a normal size.

  • @gb66gb lol

  • Awesome!! 5 stars!

  • I would never have expected to see this! First class install! Where in WA are you?

  • @therealpope79 I'm in Spokane. The van is tore apart again, it's getting a nv4500/np241 w/ s.y.e. The intermediate shaft was making a bothersome noise at low speed cruise that I couldn't remedy. I tow all over the place and I don't want to have to worry about the little intermediate shaft flying apart. Plus it makes my rear driveline 10" longer and decreases the angle on the CV.

  • @gb66gb Small world. I was born in Spokane, raised in Moses Lake. Most of my family lives in Spokane. The new shaft had outta help out quit a bit. Aside from their little quirks the NV4500s are a great trans! Nice build once again!

  • awesome man!!!! fuc£!*n nice . I've seen the clutch pedal, good job, i'm jalous

  • pos just kidding badass

  • pos just kidding badass

  • damn that thing is tight as shit

  • spectacular job ! WOW nice van

  • this is the most awesome vehicle on earth... congrats

  • Beautiful bugout Van! Looks great. Unibody in that van is the way to go for strength and flex. Nice video thanks for sharing. Take care.

  • very nice. i got one in my suburban. Washington as well.

  • This is what the A-TEAM needed. Cool cummins project.

  • Stock conversion chassis. Flipped rear, ford high boy front, custom x member for the motor, but still the stock van "frame" (they are actually unibody)

  • I love this engine and those old vans. That's the perfect vehicle. What chassis did you use?

  • @CumminsISB24V Stock conversion chassis. Flipped rear, ford high boy front, custom x member for the motor, but still the stock van "frame" (they are actually unibody)

  • @gb66gb Had no idea those are unibody. Good job with the project. It looks really nice.

  • @CumminsISB24V Thanks!

  • @CumminsISB24V

Actually unibody with rails welded as reinforcements, just like the vw bus or the dodge van -which by the way, all his lifespan was unibody. That set up lasted until 1996, when the Chevy Express Van featured truly body on frame construction.
