Compare his quick single note playing to guys like Donati & Lang, both drummers who I also enjoy watching & respect, & you'll hear the difference. Well, as for double note kick playing, well.. the other guys can't be beat. Yet, Dave is the undisputed champion of metal drumming!

Their guitar parts are all speed and nothing else and the vocals all sound exactly the same. Live the only good part is Dave because he's just that fucking awesome. He overpowers everything and has such a pesence that it's unmistakable that Dave Lombardo is here. everything else that Slayer does live doesn't impress me.
