A very nice looking Bug-eye, I've had mine since 1961, not quite as immaculate as yours!! I see you've modified the bonnet, mine is the original monster, weighs a ton, getting hard to lift now I'm old,

Yes, I installed a front-tilt kit for the bonnet thus providing easy and complete access to the entire engine bay. It is perhaps the best modification that has ever been done to the car.

Any suspension mods, lowering etc? 5.5" or 6" wide rims? Beautiful car.

Yes, I have a few suspension mods. It's probably easier if you just visit saabhealey(dot)com to check them out. If I recall correctly, the wheels are 5.5" wide.

Hi,

The wheels were custom made in 1995 and, yes, they are wider than stock. The current tires on the car are Toyo Proxes RA1s (185/60/13) which provide exceptional grip (especially when compared to the Yokohamas that used to be on the car).
