I have to say I really ike this. I wish I could play the violin but at 28 I don't think that is going to happen lol. I have always loved the violin and the piano. Keep up the good work. Very beautifil music.
there were some parts i thought i would have enjoyed a cleaner more thoughtful transition between notes rather than a slide. but it was decent overall.
on the runs i would have gone slower than play some notes with intonation issues.
Well done!!! There is alot more to making music than mere technical facility. I know many young players who can play a huge collection of notes, but have no idea how to make a musical phrase 'sing'.
After coming across your comments on Aaron Rosand - zapateado, you are smart not to put up videos of yourself. Nobody, especially in the music world would accept your comments on some of the greatest violinists and then listen to you play. For an up and coming violinist you have no respect for your piers, so don´t use their names to justify how well you play - just play and we the public will tell you.
A person who can be so negative towards other people is definitely not a musician. Music is much more than being technical, you can have all the technique in the world and have no talent. This girl has plenty of time to learn technique and obviously full of talent.

I really don t understand Why do put your recording in youtube... is it a joke ??? My god I can see that you practice a lot but you talent!!!! and you play so dificult peace for you !!! oh my god plese WAKE UP!!!!
dude shes awesome and im not someone who doesnt know what they are talking about ive been playing for almost 8 years. shut up until u can prove what you can do and i dont see any violin solos on your account.
don´t bother answering benito 345678, he´s not even a violinist, he/she is supposed to play the cello? And as for Julliard I don´t think unless daddy is paying big money they would let you in - so it´s you who will have no career. As for mozart 07 he belongs to the same jealousy race as yourself.
perhaps less control of the bow in the hand and more in the upper arm. this would help keep your bow a bit straighter. other than that, beautiful musicality and expression.
You have great ambition and talent. That's good. But it's obvious to me that you are taking too many shortcuts to perform the pieces you have been posting here.
I LOVED THIS! i love classical music! i just does something to me! thanks so much for posting this. (you guys can come play for me anytime! brlliante'!)
hah man that's why we have a thousand etude books - so we don't have to learn a new facility everytime we want to expand our repertoire. I agree, this piece might not be the best for a student who wants to keep progressing (assuming they've learned mendelssohn), but my god it's so beautiful! Have you heard the 3rd movement btw? I'm pretty sure that offers a little facility in speed ;P
Concertolover: before posting your disgusting stupidity here, go back to class and learn to write properly. Nobody will be hearing from you soon or ever .... imbecil.
okay, i should learn to write properly? its spelt imbecile. furthermore, i think you are ignorant for saying that. just because someone can critisize someone else doesn't mean they can't be famous - i would love to hear the logic in that, thanks.
oh my. this is terrible, hideous. you massacred barber, which, mind you, is pretty hard to do due to his exquisite melodies and chances to shine. you need to work on A LOT. MANY places are out of tune. all of your shifts are the same, some of your bow changes are unclean, you runs aren't in tune, and uneven. you interpretation is inconsistent in a few places also. you need to do a lot of slow practice, uneven rhythms in the runs, work on your shifts, and a lot of bowing.
No one's perfect. I understand that you have your opinion, and you have a different expectation for this concerto...but that doesn't excuse your rudeness to her. You could say the same thing in a kinder way, while still getting your message across. Get a life, and go practice and stop wastnig time here.
i come here to watch videos of the greats like Oistrakh, Hahn, Bell, Perlman, Heifetz, Grumiaux, etc. I searched for the Barber Concerto to see if I could one, and this was one that came up. I agree, as I look back, that I was rude, and I apologize. But i do practice about 4 - 6 hours a day.
you'll be hearing plenty of me soon enough. dont you worry. when time suits it, i will make myself known on youtube. frankly, i feel no obligation to prove myself to someone on you tube.
you practice 4-6 hours a day and still feel insecure enough to make fun of others ? you must really be horrid. I dont know alot about vilin but she sounds good ! no scratchy stuff ...
um. shes out of tune in the hard runs... no scratchy stuff but id rather have it intune and scratch a bit thanks. i gave her what was lacking in the performance but no ... everyone can't thank me for that, terrible person, oh yes i am. i try and help someone and get scolded, brilliant.
I'd say that in the end, if you don't have any vids of yourself up playing, it greatly diminishes the credibility that you have for criticism. Are things you are saying right. For the most part yes, but there is a certain politeness that you could work on to adress issues you find with other people's performances. You could have said the same thing in a much more respectful way.

today's standards require both, technique and musicality. talent is great, but unless it is well cultivated, they don't want you.
