Great Planes *

I tried to watch two episodes of this. Although I am very interested in the featured aircraft, I find the editing of this show to be obnoxious to the point of no return.

The use of quick-cut abstraction when clarity is called for makes no sense at all. Am I to "feel the mood" of the plane? I'd rather just see the thing.

About every 10th edit, an annoying flash transition featuring Chop-Socky sound effects interrupts for no apparent reason. Are the kids supposed to be impressed?

When have planes ever protected American skies?? The only chance any of them ever had was when they were commanded not to take off. All American military planes have ever done (apart from randomly flying around) is destroy other planes, infrastructure and families.

the new guy sucks. his facts are full of errors. The valkyrie was not cancelled because of mig-25. the spitfire had just as many subtypes as skyraider, so skyraider coulndn't have had the most. F-104G was called called fighter deal of the century noy the F-16. He repeats useless factoids and the show is poorly organized unlike other presntations of this type.

Firstly the AV8 is a harrier which is a british design you dickhead.

Also dasault mirage, saab Viggen, eurofighter typhoon, Avro Vulcan, english electric canberra, Mig 15, 21,25,29,31, english electric lighting, saab griffon, dasault rafale, sukhoi su 37, and many many more i could roll off, broaden your mind.

the Hawker harrier was designed and built by the british, the marines saw the potential for the aircraft and brought some off the british, then mc donnell douglas started working with the british aerospace (formerly hawker) for other mks, to call it an american aircraft as you did it is absolute bullshit.

@Bobedy444 god, it think i commented about this a year ago, the reason i think i got a bit pissed of is that it is called "great planes" and the only aircraft mentioned are american. Now i know it is made for the american market but to ignore great foreign designs is a bit narrowed minded. If it was called "great american planes" that would be fine.

If an me109 hit a p51d with its cannon the P51D was shredded the P51D and the ME109 are both awesome aircraft. The Zero was a very good aircraft because it had both speed and maneuverability as well as versatility i lacked armor and machine guns but it was excilient for raiding and kamikaze Each plane has its strengths and weaknesses for a while the japanese zeros and other aircraft were doing alot of damage and they were probably easier to make too
