  • I have a diffrent problem, I have 6.1 rating and 64 bit system and it takes forever for photoshop to load and it goes all crazy long and freezes my computer taking 5 minutess only to start a new project.

  • haha , that's even better than mine .. i hated the Cs4! ,, so i just got back to the old one .. cs3 , I got 4Gb of Ram but it killed me ...

  • the file says it cannot install

  • u can increase brush setting `spacing` to 25% and get more quickly scratches

  • Thanks a lot for mentioning the update. I haven't updated cs4 since I installed it.

  • i have updated it. better but still slow ! when u want to move an object, it kills u! (4 GB Ram, 2.6 Core 2 duo)

  • ok i have a problem that isn't relavent to a software update and i has the video posted its proccessing on my channel now!! please help mine is a REAL problem.!

  • how i fix this i download the the file in the description what i do now

    i have photoshop installed already??

    help please

  • the file Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip needs to be unarchived by right clicking and selecting "extract files." Five items will appear, one of which, setup.exe (a blue box icon) will fix the problem automatically when you open it

  • THANKS A LOT MAN

  • i got my brushes from all over the internet i couldnt name all the website to u

  • Well if the problem isn't specific to the brush, I have no idea why it's happening. Sorry...

  • I know exactly what you are talkin about but in this case its not that, i can actualy like see the brush im using its just real tiny. and i have the size on 2500 px to the max

  • If that's the case, then it's probably just a bad brush. Link to where you got it?

  • ok i have a real big problem, i have been loading up brushes i have downloaded but sometimes when i go to my brushes and select one its realy realy small, i changed the max sizw of the brush to 2500 px but when i go to use the brush its still real tiny! any help plzzzzzzzz? and also what am i supposed to do after i downloaded the fix to the laggy brushes?

  • You're gonna laugh at this one. When a brush is really large, instead of showing you an outline of the brush, it will only show a tiny crosshair at the center of the brush. Make the brush smaller and try painting with it, :P

  • hey um...do anyone knows whats wrong if i cant use any tools ..like on the side bar...but i can save and open files..and brighten them.

  • CS3 works perfectly, no hassles, CS4 is laggy. Turning off the OpenGL crap helped by about 40%, but it is still slow.

I have Vista 64-bit, 2.53GHz Intel Core Duo, 4GB RAM and a 512GB Video Card (this is my laptop). I'll have to try it on my desktop PC.

My Desktop still uses 32-bit XP, however it has 3.16GHz Intel Core Duo, 4GB DDR3 RAM (only sees about 3.2 though) and I got myself a 1GB Video Card.

I wonder how it will handle it.

  • downloading the cs4 update and then disableing OPEN GL solved the problem for me... I'm allowing PS to use 80% of my 4GB of RAM. thanks to the advice of others here. THANKS MUCH!!

  • Solution 1: Turn off all OpenGL Advanced Settings. 1. Open Photoshop CS4. 2. Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance. 3. Select Advanced Settings, and deselect all the options inthe GL Settings dialog box. 4. Click OK, and restart Photoshop.

Solution 2: Turn off Enable OpenGL Drawing.

     1. Open Photoshop CS4. 2. Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance. 3. Deselect Enable OpenGL Drawing. 4. Click OK, and restart Photoshop.

  • Your Slow! Cause I have CS4, and It's really good, Better quality and works awesome. It's your computer dude. Chilax. Now you make a video about datz lamee!

  • I can run CS3 perfectly smoothly on this computer with the same specifications as shown in the video. Therefore, CS4 IS SLOW(er than cs3).

  • Ok, but my CS4 is perfect with any other program. Mabie cuz you guyz are not using Vista.

  • I am using Vista as the video shows. I meet the CS4 system requirements but I guess that doesn't ensure quality, merely functionality... even though some times it gets really difficult to do things right with the slow speed.

  • Yeah just installed it, and its fucking slow, i'll stay with CS3

  • id stay whit cs3 but i cant reinstall it :( i installed cs4 and now im downloading tha update. maybe it will work o.O

  • lol my whole PC run fast but just that program run slow and i saw it runs fast for other pplz :S

  • got the same problem.. it sucks :s

  • hey man.. I have the same problem as well!

go to edit>preferances>performance and uncheck the "openGL Drawing" option..

Photoshop will get back to working normally..

    It's a B@#C@ though..

There sems to be a problem with graphics adapter compatability...

    Hmmm..

    I have a 8600gt too...

lets hope the guys out there find a fix!

  • runs like a charm on my baseline core 2 duo iMac late 2008. although guys, ATI has been beating NVidia lately in speed tests.

  • i have the same problem with my laptop.....intel core duo T8300 processor (2.4 GHz and 3 MB L2 cache), 4 GB ram, nvidia geforce 9500M GS. :(

  • I have an old as shit computer, and the only time any program goes that slow is when it is having serious, serious issues. Thanks for showing me to never upgrade my CS3 :/ It'd be pure hell on this old laptop.

  • this didn't help at all for me...sorry

  • upgrade you computer bro
