The fact that aang is physically younger and shorter than katara really annoys me...I think it should have been Zutara and Taang than ended up actually together.

i revisit this over an over. it's beautiful "but as i watch, you start to grow up" almost made me cry. we'll all eventually grow away from avatar, but i have a feeling in the end when we're all 80 some we'll be watching this with our grand kids ; )
@firelily12 Not me. I will never outgrow Avatar. I couldn't possibly, after all the affect it's had in my life. It would feel like a betrayal. I love this show too much... someday when I'm married and have kids, I will introduce my husband and children to this show. We'll watch it and cry, laugh, learn, and love together. What better way for a family to bond?

There's so many aspects of this show that I hold onto and relate to. You don't find that in many shows. @firelily12 Oh, yeah. Very shows I've seen/books I've read have had such deep, relatable characters. And nothing I've seen has had such good character development. You really can learn from Avatar, no matter your age, gender, or tastes. That's what I love about it.

Think of it this way. Katara and Zuko are opposites right? Fire and Water. Zuko was born into wealth, Katara on a village on a giant Iceburg, he was 'evil' she was good, everything about them seens to scream opposite. Until you look closer, their both passionate, powerful, hot headed, they were both a kind of 'spirt' (zuko the blue and Katara that water/village spirit) they seem to be opposites but really their not, they mesh absolutly perfectly in that sense.
Mike and Bryan said they were struggling with whether to put Katara with Zuko or Aang! Why the heck did they freakin' choose Aang?? Seriously?? No!! Why?? Aang is way too childish for her!!! She needs a man! A MAN!!!! A sweet, strong, protecting, firebending, lightning-taking MAN!!! You hear me, BryKe? KATARA NEEDS A MAN!!!
This show is more of a story of Zuko than it is Aang. He grows far more and has the most character development. Also the few moments that hint toward them having a relationship are far more meaningful than the ones of Kataang.
@Pevensify I don't hate Mai but I hate the pairing of Zuko and her it just doesn't work in my mind. They just don't seem to click well there isn't any chemistry and even when Zuko shows he likes her it seems unbelieveable and out of his character. I'd rather have him with Jun or no one at all that would have been fine with me. Even though I'd love Zutara if that didn't happen I still hate Maiko I can deal with Kataang but not Maiko

Then book three comes, and they put KatAang on the back burner to get Aang ready to face Ozai, and Mai is in prison, so KatAang and MaiKo get ignored. Then Zuko joins the group, and they spend the whole show after that developing ZuTara. Then they just randomly brought back KatAang and MaiKo. I was like "Seriously? And after the LIGHTNING????"
The only problem is that their relationship wasn't built on love it was built on mutual experience and began as enemies... a bit hard to overcome as it turns out :( I was hoping for tang and zutara fyi and ty lokka but that was the longest shot yet

@SyranaLuvr I totally agree. Like I care about what is canon, anyways. The creators thought Kataang is better for the little children, and I'm fine with the ending (though I still think Zuko and Mai don't fit), but after all, we see what sells better. From what I've seen, Zutara is more popular - with good reason. Imo, Zutara has more romantic potential - look at the symbolism and their development. If Kataang hadn't been forced, I would have never bought them as pairing. I still don't, btw.
At the beginning of the show, I hated Zuko! He would always how up when things looked the best and ruin everything, and I would lean forward and yell at the TV, "You're evil! You need to die!" Needless to say, my feelings for him changed drastically over the course of the show. In the last episode, when he got shot with lightning, I once again leaned forward and yelled at the TV, and this time I was crying, too, "No! You can't die, you can't die! No!"
i hope that you would do Zutara in the live action....Seriously....this is the last chance that we zutarians have! The kataangs already have their shot in the cartoon! Please give us ours!
I loved this vid! Only i could have gone without the drawings. They somehow fit, but in the beginning it didnt seem like they fit at all. I did love the last photo at the end tho. I also loved when you did those rectangles finally ending with a big photo of them staring off into the distance at the very last part.
@LuluMoonstone Yeah they changed because it was shown as a kid show plus the main hero always gets the girl in kids shows. For me that was BS if this was a Anime it would have been different.
This is exactly why Katara should've picked Zuko. He has much more depth and is just the best looking guy in the anime :p Too bad he's only that though. But good video, I like the effects you use, they make the sentimentality level even higher ^^
Okay, so I don't want to sound like one of the more illogical Zutara shippers, but Zuko took LIGHTNING for Katara and people still don't think they'd make a good couple?
More than the fact that he took lightning for her, just the WAY he did it is so...canon. It's been a while since that summer when I was enraged at that mind-boggling finale, like so many other Zutarians. But I still think back on it and wonder how they didn't get together in the end.
I love the split screen effect. They both look so cute as little kids :D like the way you like some of the audio come thorugh at certain moments. These two sooo belong together. At the beginning of the show, I hated Zuko! He would always how up when things looked the best and ruin everything, and I would lean forward and yell at the TV, "You're evil! You need to die!" Needless to say, my feelings for him changed drastically over the course of the show. In the last episode, when he got shot with lightning, I once again leaned forward and yelled at the TV, and this time I was crying, too, "No! You can't die, you can't die! No!"

Think of the guy at the beginning of the show who had a ponytail, and was bitter and angry and said and confused, and intent on regaining his honor.
Now think of the guy at the end of the show: shaggy hair, hot, strong, noble.

1. Aang is a monk so he can't get married

3. Zuko needs someone who has been threw the same like him *cough* Katara

I loved this vid! Only i could have gone without the drawings. They somehow fit, but in the beginning it didnt seem like they fit at all. I did love the last photo at the end tho. I also loved when you did those rectangles finally ending with a big photo of them staring off into the distance at the very last part.

I really loved this vid! The matching of the lyrics was great.
A few of my favorite parts were 0:30-0:32, 1:22-1:24, 2:35, and 2:45.
And I liked how you just had a couple pics during the "safe in my arms" , not to many just the right amount.
Something I noticed the other day was they lost there mothers the same year. Zuko was 10 and Katara was 8.

More than the fact that he took lightning for her, just the WAY he did it is so...canon. It's been a while since that summer when I was enraged at that mind-boggling finale, like so many other Zutarians. But I still think back on it and wonder how they didn't get together in the end.

I love the split screen effect. They both look so cute as little kids :D like the way you like some of the audio come thorugh at certain moments. These two sooo belong together.
