  • anyone know any chinese martial arts instructors in Miami, I really want to learn this martial art!!

  • . This is Fei Hu Quan people!!!!! In English " flying TIGER fist!" Not flying dragon fist. There is a Blue Dragon form of Piguaquan and he does a nice version too... but this is flying tiger fist. And for the record this is a bei fang Piguaquan from Gansu (northern piguaquan)

  • lolz I like how China does "Kung Fu" There are like more than 15 martial arts they actaully have created xD

  • Sweet looking form; I love seeing pigua in action. Forgive me if I'm wrong though; isn't this Flying Tiger fist, instead of Flying Dragon Fist?

  • @Swordsage i have no idea, sometimes the chinese companies mislable their VCDs, but it is probably my fault if it is mixed up. why do you think they're switched?

  • @airforceallie Well, I think I've seen this vcd before... this is from the Gansu boxing series, correct? If it is, I think this is the Flying Tiger Fist, while the other one you show is the Green Dragon. Check out the page on Plumpub; they have the names listed there. Of course, I could be wrong; it's not like I'm an expert on Chinese.

  • ... This may help though... in the Gansu Boxing series showing the three Pigua forms, the second form seems to have the character for Dragon in the title (loong), while the third form seems to have the character for Tiger (hu).

  • thank you for sharing

  • is this fighting style or dancing style?

  • @cantz007 ask him yourself and find out!

  • @airforceallie

i will when i see him on the dance floor

  • @airforceallie I think he meant is it traditional or modern wushu

  • @cantz007

    Your kidding right?

  • @cantz007 greeks traing figting through dancing, persians train wrestlers and knights through dancing. Ballet is and dance adaptation of Fencing. If i say yes it is dancing, does it mean that it pussified?

  • @kaindrg yes, because men don't dance. we call it fighting forms just like we call dolls action figures. lol.

  • @silversification weaponized dancing :D thanks for reminding me that i commented ont this at all the date says two weeks but it felt like a month since i got to taiwan

  • absolutely beautiful and deadly... ;)

  • omg, these days old man can do better than young man.

  • Simply loved it..

  • How old is this man? I love the waist turing of this style. Looks like you can create a lot of power.

  • Great video! Thanks!!! Really nice skills... Worthy to learn it from A to Z...

  • his fluidity amazes me for his age. i could imagine him 30 or 40 years ago.

  • yah there's a school in flushing called wu-tang

  • anyone know where I could learn pi gua quan, I live i nny. :p

  • I would love to learn pigua-quan

  • This guy could beat the shit out of ANY UFC fighter! They wouldn't have a clue!!! Awesome.

  • @TexasSizzle yeah but ufc uses mma and remember mma isnt a single usa origin base martial arts in facts it not even suppose to be consdier a martial arts since it just a training form of different martial arts combine together but a guy who does mma can mix anything up even dragon fist so if he know dragon fist and other martial arts im sure the guy who only know dragon fist might loose depending on his experence and skill.Put it this way you dont have to be in mma to do mma

  • @TexasSizzle just learn different type and mash it up yourself instead of going to some dumb mma class wheree they do the same thing without any of their own creation sin it is all base off of other martial arts

  • How does pi gua quan have a connection with ba ji quan?

  • they were originally taught together as pigua-baji quan!

  • Yes, that is what I read from sources from the internet, but I do not see how they connect.

  • Bazi is short ranged in nature and ideal (close to very close combat where there would be difficulty accelerating power through momentum of motion). However, Pigua is a reach oriented/momentum utilizing art. It covers the distances that may not be otherwise done all the time with "Zhen Jiao" from the Bazi Quan art. Pigua, as a mometum utilizing art there is reason to suggest that the bazi could be used to push away and Pigua to further utilize the new space and momentum acquired, or vice versa.

  • Seems to be some sort of a balance for the two arts in order for them to work out. If I were you, I abandon the "z" letter and use the "j" letter since you're referring to bajiquan's original name, baziquan meaning "rake fist."

  • @airforceallie designed to complement.... baji is short frame... pigua is long frame...

    beautiful when done together....

  • @airforceallie yup, two yin-yang styles.... combined as one. There's a proverb on it saying something to the effect of ....demons and gods fearing the blend of these two styles coming together....

  • That is so great, thank you for posting! I just realized how much good material you have in your channel. So awesome!

  • thanks man; your favorites look awesome too.

  • what is the application of the move at 00:05 - 00:06?

  • the greatest enemy is yourself. the first step is to forgive your opponents; so that move is a hug.

just kidding, i don't know this style, so hopefully a pigua person can answer for you.

  • lol

  • I'm not sure, but it could be an attack to temples or neck (carotid artery) followed by throwing technique. I am not completely sure because I don't know pigua or ba ji.

  • I meant tripping technique.

  • @Yakshinian Its either a strike to the neck or the ears

  • wow....that was cool

  • thanks a lot
