  • lol..barr of soap!!!!

  • "nipple ball"

I heard that's what the Lakers play when they're alone in the locker room.

  • back in the good old days when you could get jon's attention with a comment

  • hi

  • How was your voice deeper than it is now?!

  • Does the mighty mouse work with an HP Monitor on just Macs

  • Where is "What's up everyone..." ? :D

  • heat sensitive? XD

  • wow i just watched this because of your haters video haha you lost a lot of weight and your voice is different now! good for you bro

  • lol dude y didnt u just get a magic mouse ?

  • @rojopercussion dude this vid was made in 2007 before it was even released

  • @JmVntR oh

    lol

  • @rojopercussion look at the date dude magic mouse wasn't out then

  • this mouse SUXXXX!!!!!

  • This mouse is sucks! At first it very heavy and second when you trying playing games like Call of Duty the mouse is not stable-right click switching with left so when you actualy trying to aim it suddenly shoots!

  • @RoseySnakes

NOT wireless.. Sorry about the typo..

  • I agree with RoderikR, this mouse sucks. scroll ball is a hit and miss. POS in my opinion.

  • @smoke362

I've had mine for 2 years in March, and I've occasionally had the ball not want to scroll, but you just use the official fix - turn the mouse over, and roll the ball on a piece of paper, or use a can of compressed air AND the official fix.

After that, mine works right away. It's a dirt problem, not a design flaw. I think all the people that write bad reviews about the scroll ball have their mouse stop working, and immediately go online to complain about it. "Dear Internet," lol

  • This is by far the worst mouse I have ever used. It's absolutely worthless. It's heavy, it clicks uncorfortably and most importantly the scrollwheel feels bad at your finger and doesnt't react half of the time. Horrible mouse!

  • i never knew it has a second click lol

  • you can configer it!

  • hey jon, I got a question for you. I like the mouse I use at the school computers that looks like the mighty mouse but with a wire (iono what it's called). and I like how I can click on things with my whole hand instead of fingers. can I do that on the mighty mouse, or do I have to always lift one finger and click with the other?

my shoulder gets sore everytime I use a regular mouse with two buttons ( you can check out my "mouse realization" video.) thanks!

  • @RoseySnakes

If it has the scroll ball, it's still the Mighty Mouse - it's just wireless. Of course, Apple has moved to the Magic Mouse, which is kind of like the best of the Pro Mouse (the pre-2007 Apple mouse, which you can rest your hold hand upon) and the Mighty Mouse. But.. you don't have the squeezable buttons on the side (for Expose), nor can you click on the scroll ball (as there isn't one) to activate Expose or Dashboard (the thing with the weather and clock, etc).

  • now theres the magic mouse with no jamming scroll ball :D

  • Just got the new Apple Magic Mouse fellow Mac addicts.

Throw your Mighty mouse with its flawed scroll ball into the nearest trash can.

This thing is more frigging awesome by a factor of at least 10!

  • its weird i never realised that you have to lift your finger to right click even though I've had one of these mice for almost 6 months I guess i just didnt it from day one

    I love this mouse

    its only got 2 problems

1/ its too heavy with both batteries in which is easily sorted 2/ the scroll ball getting dirty and jamming

but its worth it just so i can scroll left and right quickly in logic and photoshop

it seems as long as you clean it the second it gets jammed it ll keep working

  • WOW....

  • NIPPLESSSSSS!!!!1

  • comfortable: NO

  • NIPPLE BALL!!!!!

  • ROFLS. nipple ball xD

  • why is everbody saying nipple balls? thats kinda stupid

  • Are the heat sensitive buttons touchy at all? If your fingers are on them do they recognize it as a click?

  • IT guy here!

***Very disappointed with the mighty mouse.****

It was the most expensive mouse i ever bought, granted it is bluetooth.

intermittent connections problems as well as constant grief with the scroll ball not scrolling.

Overall i would say your better of buying something else!

  • never ever had a problem disconnecting ever

and as long as you dont eat food while using the mouse its fine i ve found

apart from being to expensive its way better than any other mouse and the batteries last like 2 months on one battery and scrolling left and right is a god send

  • LOLLL NIPPLE BALL HAHAA

  • Comment removed

  • Great, you know what would be cool? to teach us with an engineer, how to fix and clean the mouse. Take care. Alex

  • i just bought one, its better than my old mouse so i like it... but its by no means the best i've ever used.

  • i'm doing the right click and left klick with the same finger.

  • This is not heat sensitive...simply touch sensitive.....Heat would be way too slow

  • Nipple Ball FTW!

  • dude this mouse is touch sensative. i just bought it and it works for secondary clicking, when my finger is a millimeter away.... but good review. dont mean to knock you or anything i just dont wanna discourage people from this great product.

  • Hey

Has anyone got any cleaning tips that i could use t clean the scroll ball or mouse itself?

    Thanks.

  • get a slightly damp towel and place it on a smooth surface. turn the mouse over (take the batteries out) and rub the scroll ball over the towel with adequate force. as much as you are comfortable with. if you do this for 1-2min your scroll ball should be usable again.

u can also try the method above on dry denim.

  • Thanks!

  • lick your finger and give it a rub, then polish on your shirt. job done.

  • Nipple Ball :D haha

  • L O L

  • Yeah I have the same mouse, it isn't that great, the side buttons are practically useless... reason I say that is because you have to put a decent amount of pressure in order for it to do something.. I like the scroll ball aswell.. and if u set it up to have right and left click its annoying.. I would get the microsoft bluetooth 5000.. Its way better..

  • Hey

im getting a mac mini soon and i'v heard alot of problems about the scroll ball thing, that after a while it breaks. Is this true. And does a normal mouse work on a mac mini?

    Please anwer my question! thanks!

  • Just clean the scroll ball every once in a while and you'll be good

  • a normal mouse will work and my mighty mouses scroll ball is perfect after around a year and a half

  • im getting mac mini so i'm gonna get the wired mouse and keyboard with numeric keypad cuz i don't like how they've made the wireless ones

  • I bought the USB wired one with that MacBook :D

  • I love my mighty mouse! It is the best mouse ever!!!

  • The whole lifting up your left finger, you get so used to it its not even a big deal. I like it actually. I also like the special buttons on it, i use them for spaces and more.

  • me too I use the side buttons for expose and if i press down the ball it opens spaces. It works great. It's such a simple mouse.

  • i been thinking bout getting one, and i heard that the scroll ball sticks at times, is that true? or have you encountered that problem?

  • Exactly what I'm wondering about...

  • hmm I have not just now I tested it as well just to check

  • Dont get the mighty mouse, I went through 2 of them before i bought a Razer Deathadder.

  • what the fuck that sounds like a gun from doom or something

  • You should look up Razer mouses.

I really didnt like the mighty mouses. The "nipple ball" always stopped working from things getting into the mouse no matter how much i cleaned it.

  • dude, this was on my birthday

  • woow John, you were waaaaaay cooler in the older videos. LOL

  • I def. think that your new videos are a lot better

  • Wow Nice Review. Just Starting My channel Be sure to check it out.

  • No ' Wassup guys and girls, John Rettinger here'

    lol

  • he looks different than he does now!

  • nipple ball ROFLMAO!!

  • does anyone know about how long the battery lasts???

  • So far ive had it for over a month and its not even close to running out

  • nipple ball

    LOL

  • i have the wireless mighty mouse but it keeps randomly disconnecting

  • is is just me or is the PS3 controller laggy cuz of the bluetooth it feels laggy

  • i never really noticed that you have to lift your fingers??? i just think that the mighty mouse is just the same as a PC mouse, i see no difference

  • Nipple Ball? LOL

  • my mighty mouse doesnt move the only thing yhat works is the righ tand left click but the mouse doesnt move.......help please

  • idk if u already ahve done it but if u have mobile me can u review it?

  • i love this mouse, no problems what so ever have to get used to it though before you really judge it.

  • can u use this on the new mac book?

  • works on every mac

  • It does not! They didn't have Bluetooth-enabled Macs back in the '70s!

  • nor did they have macs.

  • Sorry, meant '80s. Lawl... whatever.

  • The mighty mouse is overly expensive and is uncomfortable thanks to it's lack of an arch.

  • im going to the apple store now

  • nipple ball lol

  • bahahahahaha!!!! bar of soap!!! lol!!!! good one man!!!!

  • will it work on vista

  • HAHAHA

    NIPPLE BALL

    XDD

  • Hi guys!

I have a qustion does the mighty mouse and the apple keyboard work good for vista?

    /Thanks

  • dont get this mouse, you cant open and clean it! and when u do do all the cleaning they suggest, he next day it dont work again, so basically u gotta clean it everyday after like 3 months of owning it...apple is stupid for makin it sealed

  • FINNALY SOMEONE THAT KNOWS GET THE TARGUS MAC MOUSE(BLUETOOTH) IT HAS A LENS INSTEAD OF A "SCROLL BALL NIPPLE"lol I HAVE A REVIEW IN MY VIDS

  • SCROLL NIPPLE!!!

  • Hey, does anyone know if this will work with my MacBook Pro with my boot camp partition, because I have the driver for bluetooth on my MBP i use Vista for gaming and am wondering if I can use this for bluetooth wireless control.

  • curious, you said the mighty mouse had good battery life, but you have only owned it for 2 days

  • Lolz

  • Its obvious it has good life, I used mine (like only twice a week though) for 6 months on a single battery...

  • so do you recomend it?:/ im stuck between getting this and or the logitech 470..it too is a bluetooth..:/

  • Jon,

As always, another great review. I just bought Apple Alum Wired KB, so I was thinking of the Might Mouse as well for my Mac Mini. When I bought the KB, I assumed the USB 2.0 Ports would accept my Thumb Drives, being that the old Apple KB worked fine with my Thumb Drive, only slow. On the new KB, you can only use a mouse, Printer or Digital Camera with the ports. That was a major disappointment for me. More people should be warned about this short coming. Thanks.

  • how often do you have to change the batteries? Say, if you're using two of them? Like if they lasted at least 6 months that would be great!

And also, does it go on power save mode as soon as you don't touch it for 1 second like the crappy Logitech mice? Thats so annoying, theres always a lag because the mouse has to turn back on!

  • did you notice the reported mouse lag?

  • I don't know much about the Mouse Lag, but, I can tell you that sometimes when I use my mobile phone, and hook it up to my iMac using Bluetooth it can make the mouse pointer seem to lag and stutter across the screen.

  • nipple ball

  • i think you have the wireless mouse i am thinking of getting one but a lot of ppl said it was too heavy since it takes up batteries so how often do u have to change the battery ??would u recommend the wireless or the wired mouse??

  • LMFAO @ nipple ball !

that was fuuunnny bro ! lol

    do u recommend it ?

  • why does every1 says u have to lift ur finger to right clivk in best buy ive tried the mouse without lifting my finger clicks fine

  • every mouse is different. some work perfectly, some work w/ a catch to it

  • the buttons are actually touch sensitive, not heat sensitive ;) keep up the good work, i enjoy watching all your videos

  • thats how touch sensitive works, by the heat in your finger. its synonymous

  • Not heat sensitive. It works via capacitance. A very, very low electrical frequency is sent through the buttons surface, and when the finger comes in contact, the capacitance is altered. The mouse senses this as a click. If it were heat, people with colder hands (i.e.: women (who typically have colder hands than men)) would report problems.

  • what do you rate the mouse now?

  • did you get use to it?

  • i have a question should i buy the macbook pro or macbook air if i use it at home and use it outdoors.i use it 60% at home and 40% outdoors.plz tell me i am have a hard time thinking

  • macbook pro

  • i have a microsoft wireless mouse....i don't know if it's bluetooth or not, but when i purchase a macbook next week, will it be able to work without the wireless adapter?

  • no.

  • does the scroll ball start to stick after awile

  • the mouse still behaves as if it was brand new.

  • thanks

  • You must be a really clean person, lol. My MM's nipple got clogged and I had to clean it a couple of time. It's real annoying when you can't scroll.

  • If it sticks, clean by moistening the wheel with rubbing alcohol.

  • thanks everyone

  • I make it a point to regularly clean mine with rubbing alcohol every 3 days to keep it working. Been with me for a year already and still works as it was new.

  • every time you turn on your computer do u have to reconnect the mouse, or does it just connect?

    Please respond.

  • it connects automatically.

  • thanks

  • can u use the wireless mighty mouse with a windows pc

  • nope, one of the system requirements is a mac with bluetooth, sorry

  • Hi jon,

tell me something about battery life...

  • it's bad! i need to replace batteries monthly.

  • You have to get used to it. You pay 80 bucks for a mouse..

    I love to have one..

  • I like the mighty mouse but there are some down sides.

  • I Love the mighty mouse cos i use it with my left hand but the scroll is such a pain & i never noticed the heat thing?

  • Dude nice review, It does take a little getting used to, but it is so worth it in the end.

  • i always wondered why they dont call it the iMouse...

  • Is this the best mouse out there??? I need a mac really bad and I think I am going to get one, but when I do, is this the best mouse around for it and just in general???

  • best is relative. Try one out and decide for yourself. Good luck.

  • Hey, does it lag? at all?

cos im thinking of getting a bluetooth mouse, not necessarily the mighty mouse, but i heard that bluetooth mice lag and sometimes jump and do not respond.

  • no lag at all...works great.

  • i'm just about to get a mac, but i think the only thing i don't know is if

the wired MM works on glass surfaces!?

    and the wireless one?

    thanks

  • i dont think it will work on glass, you may have to use a mousepad.

  • hey... thanks...

and... man, i think a just watched all your videos...

    Nice MacGuy

    lol

  • is this mouse good enaf for photoshop or is logitec mx revolution better ? sorr about bad eng.

    THX

  • Dude! U have all things MAC!!! LOL

  • cute!

  • It's actually touch sensitive, not heat sensitive :D

  • nice review. i was wondering how often do you need to change the batteries?

  • ive had the same batteries in there for 3 months and they are still 85% charged!

  • lmao i just got back from dinner.

  • I like the Apple pro mouse ;)

  • hey guys, I got to work with AUTOcad, and can Macbooks run these cuz i know they run on pcs.

  • Macbook PRO's can run programs like AUTOcad because they have video cards that have independent memory from the main system's memory. I wouldn't recommend a regular Macbook because they share the system's memory with the graphics engine, and therefore they're meant for more "light usage" like web browsing and text editing, etc. But in order to run the program at all you're going to need to run Windows using Bootcamp, or using a virtualization software like parallels.

  • haha nipple ball

  • plaese make a video turtorial on how to connect wireless mouse to macbook pro.

  • apple provides step by step instructions.

  • it is stupid to have only 2 usb ports, but i need a wired mouse cuz i do CAD work so that sucks for me, haha it does look like a bar of soap

  • Ok i liked it im going to go buy one now.

  • lol nipple

  • Defunkt25,

The 15.4" MBP has two USB ports, and the 17" has three. :)

  • oh ok. i thought both MBP's have 3, my bad, thanku!

  • can you disable the right button on that??

  • yeah, you can set the right button for anything you want.

  • Can you set the side buttons (the squeeze buttons on the side of the mouse) to the secondary-click (aka, right-click)? I think if you use secondary-click a lot that would be easier on a mighty mouse.

  • You can set the buttons for anything you want.

  • I never could get used to the MM and returned it. Went with a Logitech V270 instead

  • Are you making these videos w/ using the integrated Isight cam?

  • sure am. Pretty easy 2!

  • oh, i thought the MBP had 3 USBs??? i have a macbook which only has two.. lol i got a wireless mighty mouse just last saturday, i am very happy with it:)

  • Is it worth the money to get a wireless?

  • For sure especially since the MBP only has 2 usb ports.

  • awesome

  • I should have a 2 part review up today.

  • hi there can you do a review on apps on the your mpb, to also see the speed of the beast. lol

  • It would be great if you could review the screen (why you got glossy, plus the LED). Im debating on which one to get.
