Long story short there was this alien scientist who built this half organic robot who became his assistant then he built bigger and bigger machines until he built unicron so he could eat the universe so he would have an empty space to do what ever he wanted with. Unicron attacked him inguring him and destroying his assistant. The assistant's spark flew to an organic world wich the quintessons built into cybertron and built him into vector sigma.

I'm talking the G1 Marvel Comics, Where Unicron and Primus are warring Gods and that the 'formers were made by Primus to battle Unicron. Has more epicness then "Oh, I need more space to do science. Unicron, destroy everything. No! Don't Kill me! Agh! dead." Admittedly raises alot of questions, but what theology doesn't have gaping holes in it?

@bdpickett I was just using it as an example. And in the cartoon they are still "gods". And you didn't tell it right. Primacron lives the attack. And He didn't "want more space to do science." He turned evil and built unicron to destroy the universe so he could rebuild it or what ever he wanted to do with it and pretty much be the ruler of the universe. Unicron hurts primacron and destroies his assistant so his spark flies off and builds itself into the oracle.

Also, this points out one of the annoying things about Transformers History. It keeps changing. Alone you've mentioned Primus, Vector Sigma, the Allspark, and now the Oracle, and all of them serve the exact same fuction across the series. Is it too much to ask for consistancy?

@bdpickett Well Primacron's assistant, the oracle, vector sigma, and primus are all the same thing. As I was explaining Primacron built his assistant and after unicron attacked the assistant was reduced to a spark. It flew to an organic planet and built itself into the oracle. Then the quintessons came and built the planet into cybertron and the oracle into vector sigma wich later became Primus.

As I was saying, they are, fuctionally, the same thing. The problem is that the nature of each thing is so fundamentally differant each time that they are obviously meant to be differant things. It's like the creators forgot they already answered the question "Who created them?" and keep coming up with differant answers.

the problem with this movie is itt destroyed the optimus, megatron, and starscream dynamic. disconnected itself from season 2. season 3 caused the cancellation of the transformers. jar jar blur. season 3 tried to work with replacements. didn't work. low ratings. season 4 was changed from full blown season to mini-series. and then the end. the movie was a big mistake. should have been a stand alone. season 3 should have continued where season 2 left off! this movie killed the transformers on TV

Damn, I want to find the version I grew up with, where words scroll up the screen like in a Star Wars movie and the narrator reads it out, instead of the cast credits appearing. He came in at the end as well, saying that Optimus Prime will return, after all the negative feedback they got from killing him.

Nothing wrong with this version of course, it's just childhood memories I'd like to relive fully, that's all :)

The Michael Bay films are actually what started my interest in transformers. When I saw the first movie back in 2007, I thought it was ok, then I discovered Generation 1. I bought a book that talked about the history of the transformers. My god, was my mind blown. What I thought were just a bunch of alien robot cars, turned out to be so much more. Then I saw this movie, and now the transformers are and always will be a huge part of my life. :)

@prime10070970 Yeah he died. 15 out of the original 18 Autobots from Season 1 were killed. Only Bumblebee, Jazz, and Cliffjumper survived. Optimus came back to life at the end of season 3 though.
