It has been confirmed that they won't be sticking close by to the plot and I think that is a good idea because a) it won't dissapoint viewers and b) no one can spoil the storyline as would've been done by pretty little liars and look what a hit that's been! So what if they didn't go by the books!! I never read the books but if I did, I sure would be predicting everything because I know whats going to happen. Twilight doesn't surprise me and its boring now because I read the books already. I am glad they made it different from the books, so everyone will be surprised by it and the promo doesn't even look that bad, so stop complaining. And Pretty Little Liars came out to be a damn good show, this one could be too.

The Lying Game is for those who are more into teenager typical drama thing aka Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars etc.

Ringer is more for adult i suppose, but i'm 17 and i loved it.

I don't know they're both just different. In The Lying Game Emma takes over Suttons life and it's nothing but amazing for her. In Ringer Bridget takes over Siobhan (or whatever her name is). She thinks her life is perfect but it's probably worse than bridgets.

Pretty Little Liars was supposed to be a TV series way before the books came about, they just couldn't find a place for it on The WB so they made it into a book series and then waited until they could make it into a TV show. Then about the whole 'going by the books' thing - TV shows aren't supposed to go by the books, that makes it uninteresting for anyone who has read the books so obviously they are gonna change a few things.
