Wow, nice job. This is my favorite Anthony Phillips composition of all time. We Anthony Phillips fans appreciate your efforts. Looking forward to part 2 !
Hyper - you've done it again!!! One of my all time faves. You do it such justice. You may be the ONLY person who holds the key to unlock the sublime magic of AP's kingdom.
They've gone through so many changes, and most of the times for the worse, that I can't remember right now. Wy jesteście usprawiedliwiani, młoda kobieta (surely mispelled haha).
Your message is still there Ethel (click at 'View all messages'). I don't remove any messages at all (unless I accidentally click at 'Remove' when trying to reply). Thanks for your reassured support anyway! ;-)
I've just listened to your AP 15 piece playlist which contain some of my favourite AP songs. Thanks for posting, Ant's music never fails to move me and your playing does his music real justice.
listening right after hearing your frantic "in the cage" solo transcription. what a difference, needless to say. this sounds great to me. ie, playing and sound and capturing the soul of the original. sure, there's some out of tune thing at 4:16 (not sure what happened there) but i've heard worse, believe me. It's coming together nicely..more than nicely, brilliantly. It's time for you to do an album with Ant.
haha, just be sure to pick up all the pieces, we need that brain of yours working properly for us! As for the problem with intonation at that segment, you might be right now that I hear it again. That's one hell of a passage, specially on the 12-string, lots of barre chords up the neck (and the high action on my guitar literally kills my left hand!). Anyhow, I hope to redo that part and fix another things with the mixing of the guitars when I take it up again for a completion.
yep, you're bloody right, 4:16 it's def in the 'outer limits' zone. gosh i need to take some time before i press the rec button. it has happened more than once, i'm so unforgivably oblivious of that crucial point sometimes!
Yes Alex, you are the absolute champion of AP and his sublime music. I've listened to all of your AP stuff on YT and yearn to be able to capture even some small part of it. Hats off to a true master of the 12 string (or any guitar for that matter).
it sounds like I made an entry to some sacred place. The entrance was with shyness but upon entry I was assured and everything was fine....What a great piece and so well executed.
Yours is a fine depiction for this song. So nice that you felt that way while listening to my interpretation. I strongly recommend you to get hold of that album so you can revive properly those sensations with this and other wonderful tracks. And thanks for watching!
sounds great a real pleasure to see someone playing Ant Phillips music
the audio quality has that compressed squelching sound it happens when Wavs are turned to mp3 maybe thats whats going on here the uploads are being compressed
but it certainly takes nothing away from your playing
The video I uploaded had the original wav recording turned to mp3 (at 128 kb/s) but I guess it was recompressed again considering it was a considerable large file (about 20 mb).
Une pure merveille. Je ne connaissais pas ce morceau d' Anthony Phillips, certains passages rappellent Debussy. Sorry but for the great emotions I'm not able to comment in english.
You're going in the right direction. I love the effect of layered guitars. Did you arrive to film the 12-string? Lots of hard work there Alex.Well done.
Absolutely perfect, it seems to hear the original tune. Congratulations

Muito obrigado Miguel. You can see the 12-string being played here, it does look like a regular acoustic guitar.
