Whenever I watch your Monty tributes Parts 1 and 2, I am always overcome with emotion. I don't know if words can fully articulate how I feel about Monty - it is beyond me; he was the greatest, most powerful actor on screen. His beauty, his brilliant talent and his essence live on. I wish I could have been friends with him, a wonderful and complex man. I hope that wherever he is now, that he is unbelievably happy and at peace.
I do not want to presume. I have read about how the accident was disfiguring but I personally do not see it. He looks very handsome still. Please share your reasons, if you don't mind, I'm just curious about what the big deal is. Thank you.

I thought that I had seen all of Monty's movies, but never heard of Wild River before. I'll have to find that one. Monty had a very American face, and yet it was a unique face. The kind seldom, if ever, seen again.
Like the viewers before me thanks for what is just a wonderful tribute, the last photos are so sad. All I can say having read the life history of Monty I only wish he had been born in a different time as the issues he had to deal with were so painful for him it is no wonder he ended up as he did, he really seemed not to have any "REAL" friends to help him. One of Hollywood's saddest stories. I am sure he has fount peace wherever he is.

Thanks hubbellgardner! As you may know, Monty had a successful screen career, but his personal life was very sad especially the last 10 years of his too-short life. He was truly magnificent and deserved to be happier. What a tragedy of a man, if ever there was one.
