I play an "open style" which means I lead with both the right and left hands. On this recording I have rides and hihats on either side of me. Now, I ditched the right ride so I have only the left. This tune happens to have no ride in it though.

I do take a lot of time to warm up depending on the music. This tune can be played sort of halfway through my warm up routine. Muscle memory and a clear mind are more important for this piece. I can hardly play at all without warming up though.
