  • definately two wires touching and shorting.

  • i have the same exact problem on my e-bike this video is so much help! thank you. is it bad if i ran it down the streeet a couple times like this?

  • @htkendall You're welcome. Hopefully it shouldn't have damaged the controller. I'm pretty sure my set up would cut out under load before the hall wire were damaged.

  • @kitleithead ya mine always vibrates and judders it also cuts out before i can give it full power, is it hard to fix, i saw your other videos but didn't quite understand what the problem is.

  • Have the exact problem

  • @Procterboy Did you manage to fix it?

  • ive got this problem on a brand new motor that looks identical to yours, how did you cure it? do you no what caused it?

  • @dmould66 Hi Yes, the Hall wires on the motor axel had split. But this could happen any where between your controller and motor, ie bad connections. Have a look at my 4 other videos in my channel explaining the fault. Cheers!

  • Thanks for commenting. You're right, it was the hall wiring, and I may have damaged the fets, it cuts out under load now. Damn.

  • its hall timing. be careful you can damage the fets in the controller if you test it at full throttle to much.

test hall wires and phases wires
