It's pretty cool how many Hong Kong film people actually live in Canada, or have dual citizenship/residences. There's more of them here than probably anywhere else, including the U.S. I've seen (and/or heard about) literally dozens here in Toronto, from former A-listers to vaguely recognizable characters and crew types, and I'm told there are many more. I'd imagine Vancouver is an equally popular destination. Pretty cool. Now if only I could track them all down for interviews! LOL

I have both Angel Terminators, but Carrie definitely doesn't get treated very nicely in the first one! LOL I'd love to know why producers seemed to constantly cast her in either femme fatale or helpless victim roles. She had much more range than that. Mind you, she worked wonders in those roles nonetheless.

I know what you mean. I couldn't stand to see what happened to her in Angel Terminators! She got pissed on by that bastard Ken and Michiko kept her and poor Sharon prisoner and doped them up on drugs.

Carrie tried to hold on to Michiko while Sharon escaped, but Sharon didn't want to. And Carrie was like, 'Damn it Ida, get the hell out of here! There's no sense in both of us dying. You and Hung still have a chance to get revenge on that bastard who did this!' Guess what happens next.

Carrie bit Michiko, Michiko got pissed and stabbed poor Carrie to death. Ida screams, 'Noooooo!' and she manages to lock Michiko in her cell while she escapes.

Needless to say, Kara Hui wasn't too happy learning about Carrie's demise and she and Sharon weren't in a forgiving mood after that.

Seen it? I own the DVD, red. I hated seeing Sharon suffer later on. She was a fugitive from the law and the only person who could help her was May, her C.I. The next few days, May had to tie Sharon to a barred window and gag her because the heroin addiction was driving her crazy, but Sharon's character had to fight it if she was gonna get revenge for Carrie.

It wasn't very nice. He killed her father, took over the family business and hooked it up with triads, forced her to be his wife, slapped her around, videotaped their bedroom routines to sell to his friends, made her watch him have sex with hookers, and generally laughed at her plight the entire time. She was probably being kind by just using a bat! ;)
