  • Wow!!! Liz is amazing... perfect pitch.

  • I am so proud to be a Filipino, because of Lea Salonga :)

    Thumbs Uppppppp!!! Whooooo.. :)

  • They both did Jasmine, Lea in the first movie and Liz in the sequels. :)

  • Both are great singers!!

  • These two are absolutely magnificent

  • They are AMAZING!!!

  • wow! two great singers!

  • BRILLANT Perfirmance and sings

  • I listen to these songs with Lea and Liz over and over again they are both so wonderful

    The singers and the songs.

  • oh my gosh...........it was a wonderful performance............breath taking.............gosh.they are both fabulous and fantastic singers, they are Legend.

  • MAGNIFICENT BOTH OF THEM AND THE SONG ALSO.

  • Awesome Awesome

  • This is one iof the best songs and duets I have seen in a long time. Both performers and performances were awesome.

  • Liz is a much more seasoned vocalist and has been the singing voice for a number of animated females as well as stage shows etc. She is ten years older than Lea who is presently 40 years old. You can hear her singing the love song duet in Lion King 2 for one.

  • Liz Calloway did the singing voice of Jasmine as well in the sequels to the first movie.

  • @Mollidew no, that was Lea who did Jasmine's singing voice. Liz did Anastasia's singing voice...they sound alike so i thought lea did anastasia as well XD Great singers!!!

  • @springichoose Lea Salonga did do the voice over for Princess Jasmine in the first Aladdin but Liz Callaway was the singing voice for Princess Jasmine in Aladdin: The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves. (The sencond and third movies...)

  • @muchgladness Ohhh, well both singers sound alike anyway :) sorry for the mistake.

  • i just got goosebumps!!!! amazing!

  • @aikenemmanuel it could be a lot of other factors. and @Oldsalt97 here thinks that I am crucifying the singer. I said that they blended perfectly well except for the constant sigh and breathing line after line of the other singer.

  • Why can't anyone just listen to artists & enjoy them without adding their own criticism??....Obviously "Anilsage" never heard Ann in person....

  • This is a very good clip, I must say , but I want to point out something which is kind of annoying when you hear Liz Callaway breathes each and after every line. She has great vocals but no anyway near to Lea's. It is the breathing I cannot stand.

Breathing must be controlled if a singer is very good and most especially not heard by the public. Too bad, she has a great range like Lea but that breathing must go.

  • @anilsage i think maybe because she's older? she used to have a perfect technique.

  • just discovered this song 'our story goes on'...now on my favorites list...sooo good!

  • WOW!!!

  • The cristal clear beyond beautiful voices of broadway. I love them!!

  • Wow..Princess Jasmine/ Mulan...(Lea Salonga) AND Princess Anastasia (Liz Callaway)...It's nice to see two princesses from a Disney Movie sang together...

  • @Beung Anastasia is not Disney.

  • @mcblankerson oh really?..then i stand corrected..thanks..^_^

  • the two princess Jasmine

  • thats we called "team work"....nice blending :)

  • They sound freakishly similar, I couldn't tell when they switched

  • Lea!

  • super like.... both amazing singer no competition with each other.. not like some of the commentator here who keep on arguing with things they should'nt even argue... both are friends obviously and respect each other obviously..

  • * S * U * P * E * R *

  • Wow, unbelievable..both of them are magnificient. They way they sang the song gave me goosebump.

  • they're both amazing, but I don't know, I love Lea's voice more

  • sna mkita ko kyo sa personal ms.lei

  • Broadway's original Kim and Ellen reunited! This is the only recording I know to exist featuring Liz Callaway singing Ellen's part.

  • wow! just like 20yrs ago....nothing change in their voice quality...still powerful

  • their is something more amazing and haunting in leah's voice

  • both great singers

  • Liz has a bit of difficulty hitting the high notes the same way she did on Broadway, but she's great nonetheless. Amazing duet!

  • What's especially awesome (I think) about Lea's singing here is that she was able to "make" her voice sound "young" again. Saigon was 1989, almost *20* years before this concert. Today, Lea's voice is much stronger, thicker, fuller. Yet in her opening section here she sounds like the 18-year old Kim again. Amazing.

  • at the last song, who sings the higher part?! i'm a bit confused by the way their mouths move! but, incredible performance by the way, as always!

  • Comment removed

  • @mischine liz callaway did the higher key

  • Nice same range but Liz hits the high notes effortlessly.

  • wow they sounded alike ..amazing unbelievable..

  • OMG!! They sound so alike!! If this is not a video, I would think only one of them is actually singing.. Both of them are so good!

  • Wow, it's like listening to Lea is having a duet with herself.

  • When I had the screen dropped down, I didn't notice Liz was singing already. They both almost sound the same lol.

  • *faints* two angelic voices singing together in a song! Thank you so much for uploading this.

  • beautiful~

  • @luciloooo Wasn't it Jodi Benson who did Little Mermaid?

  • @uberathlete - yup... i stand corrected.

  • @uberathlete you're correct. Jodi Benson did Little Mermaid. Lea did Mulan and Jasmine =))

  • Just watched it again.

Damn bro!! This performance is siiiiiiiiick!!!!!! Whoo!

  • Damn bro! This ish is pro!

  • Mon Dieu!! Lea's voice didn't change at all!!

  • I just can't help thinking about Mulan and Anastasia <3

  • somehow their voices have similarities.

  • They sound so much alike!

  • they are twins, i tell you..hehe

  • This is how a duet should be done. No over powering of each other's part and blend harmoniously instead! True artists indeed!!!

  • wow ... they really do sound alike in the song THE STORY GOES ON (from Baby)

  • whoa! they sound alike!!! nice tandem!!! :)

  • WOWOWOWOW AMAZING

  • they sound so similar

  • Funny Lea did the singing voice of princess jasmine in the first movie and Liz in the other two. Lol

  • it's funny how after all these years, Lea can still sound the same as the Kim she portrayed when she was just 18....

    wow.

  • It would have been fun watching them sing each other's songs (Liz doing Mulan and Lea doing Anastasia) given the uncanny resemblance of their voices, and see if people can spot the difference! :-)

  • What amazing voices,wow!!!!!

  • Woah :O Their voices. :O Great example of music

  • WOW! THE VOICES OF ANASTASIA AND PRINCESS JASMINE! TWO LIVING LEGENDS!

  • @aikenemmanuel don't forget mulan.

  • @aikenemmanuel They both played Princess Jasmine. Salonga in the first and Callaway in Return of Jafar and King of thieves. LOL.

  • @aikenemmanuel AND MULAN!!!!!!!!

  • @aikenemmanuel And Odette From The Swan Princess!

  • @aikenemmanuel lol they both sang for Jasmine....yet only one of them sang for Anastasia....

  • @aikenemmanuel liz callaway is also: odette (the swann princess) and kiara (lion king 2) and lea salonga is also mulan

  • Comment removed

  • @aikenemmanuel @SweetPea103182 Lea Salonga was the original singer of I Still Believe too =)

  • @aikenemmanuel And yet, they were legends WAY BEFORE they became the singing voices of said characters.

  • @mcblankerson i agree!

  • @aikenemmanuel and mulan!!!

  • @lucyloo1124 and tuptim in The King and I !!! hehehe

  • @aikenemmanuel Well, Liz was also Jasmine in the film's two sequels...

  • @aikenemmanuel Don't forgett Mulan (:

  • I LOVE IT!

  • Wow!!!!!! I've been looking for this for long time!!! Thank you so much for shared!

    ^^

  • 2 of the best voices to EVER grace Broadway and Carnegie Hall!

  • Unbelievable! Just unbelievable!

  • @cefcute I totally agree!!!

  • They both are so great! Their voices blend so well together. They both seem to admire each other so much. My opinion, the best live version I've heard.

  • BBRRAAVVVVO!

  • So good to see the original Broadway Ellen and Kim singing this duet!

  • @jsg03jd i thought claire moore did the original ellen on broadway?

  • @tripleaxell Claire Moore was the first Ellen in London when "Miss Saigon" made its world premiere in the West End in 1989. Claire Moore has never been on Broadway. Liz Callaway was the first Broadway Ellen in 1991. And to come full circle, Ruthie Henshall, who was in the ensemble in the original London cast of "Miss Saigon" was the final Ellen when "Miss Saigon" closed in New York in 2001. Lea Salonga was again Kim, Will Chase was Chris and Luoyong Wang was the Engineer.

  • @jsg03jd true. Quite amazing too that Ruthie played Fantine and Lea Eponine then Fantine later on in Les Mis.

  • as soon as the music starts playing both singers are in character...thunderous applause and standing ovation was given after this performance. still remember this night at the carnegie hall in november 7, 2005...best concert ever alongside les miz 25th anniversary concert o2 arena last oct 3, 2010...love you Manang!
