It was the media who said that listening to this would increase your IQ temporarily. Quite funny that after this Mozart was bought a lot more, and parents concerned with troublesome children had hope. Just listen to this if you like it, and not to make yourself smarter. Just the fact that you believe that music can make you smarter proves that your IQ is lower than the average.
Mozart and Ouran High School Host Club make a lovely couple! How cheerful most of Mozart's compositions are so cheerful (he was a child at heart and mind and body.) mixed with the bright personality of Tamaki and some immaturity from the rest of the host club make such a grandeur of innocence, wit, and charm. Cheers!
Okay, so I'm doing science fair, and the topic I created was "The Effect of Different Tempos of Music on Assessment Performance," and as I was researching, I saw an article that this song is said to increase your IQ temporarily by 10 points. When I looked it up on YouTube,,, I was like "Heyyyy..... Wait a second......
@dorcassiu130 Thats completly false intellgence is not genetically programed. Theres a protein that codes for a gene that has something to do with intelligence but an enriched enviroment can significantly increase the level of cognitive/ emotional development in humans. Google epigenetic research.
I'm pretty sure that whatever IQ percentage you gain after listening to this magnificent piece will immediately be lowered by reading the comments section. :-)
this is beautiful ... I like to play such classical music in low volume while studying ..... It really effective.... especially with mathematics and physics !
the iq points raised by this song are counterbalanced by reading youtube comments. seriously though, if this song temporarily raises iq then there are probably some songs out there that lower it. more testing is needed!
Makes me think that the posters general summary of tests is creating a placebo effect for the viewers and they think the song is making them "smarter" instead of them noticing that they aren't that dumb in the first place. True story bro.
@blueraineee Thank god that you are here to police comments on youtube songs Dr. Obnoxious. Maybe you can visit a Kindergarten next and brow beat them for not "truly" appreciating quality literature after they express their joy post Cat in the Hat.
I listened to this before I took my GRE practice test today as well as during the test. I scored 40 points higher than my last practice test two days ago. I'm not saying this tune magically made me score higher, but I do believe it lubricated my mind enough to think more clearly than usual.
That is mean... You don't need to call people retards because of what they like. Plenty of really smart people read manga and they aren't really "learning" from manga, it's like reading a book. Do you only read to learn and not because you like to? You don't need to be so mean.
I used to like Anderson and Roe's interpretation, but this one has such perfect timing and clarity...with no emotional dragging on, if you know what I mean. This "dragging on" style is from Romantic era music and has rubbed off on many classical pianists of our time. It's nice to hear some pianists who just get it right! (see the Anderson and Roe version on the left and I think you can see what I mean) But I'm okay with anyone who disagrees...
@chulio1969 I agree, it's sad. Some people laugh at me when I tell them that I love listening to classical music. They ask: 'how old are you? 60?' lol. I tell them 'well that means that I'm more mature than your stupid brain, what do you listen to? Britney Spears?' haha. You should see the look on their faces, it's funny.
@UltraRobbie I read that songs with 60 beats per minute like this one activate certain areas of the brain that help memory and learning. So if you listen to songs like this, it will help you learn stuff...this one guy taught a class a second language in a day what usually takes a few months with this song in the background!
@LinkShouldBeAGirl Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. Everybody just believe whatever you read, and remember that scientific studies can't be wrong, I mean come on there scientific!
@Gargantupimp Well I think reading about the many studies is better than just deciding from nothing but your own feelings that it can't be true. I mean come on, I've never seen it happen, it can't be true! LOL! Right?
This is an amazing song! I played it for a recital with my twin brother about two years ago! My favorite song to play though is Piano Sonata No. 14 in C# Minor, Op. 27, No. 2: II. Adagio Sostenuto! Beethoven is pretty cool as well, but I have to give all credit for AmAzInGnEsS to Mozart! =P
This has to be the best of Mozart's Work, His Requiem was Amazing i cried, His early works took my breath away, and now this makes me want to cry with joy, He must have put so much time and effort into this piece , I cannot Believe there are 6 people who dont like this, How could there be 6 people?, should be 0, If you honestly put a thumbs down on this video then you have no life and might as-well kill yourself, At-least RESPECT it as work, and BTW without Works such as this the world would end
I like to open up 3 windows of this song and play them all together. the second one starts 8 seconds after the first and the 3rd plays 16 seconds after the first :-)
I'm not much of a fan of the piano, but this piece is just simply wonderful! I really wanna learn it! But then i'll need a partner to play it with.... Gah I didn't think it through...
Subjects were once tested with a paper-folding task, part of the Stanford-Binet intelligence test which measures spatio-temporal reasoning skills. After listening to this song for ten minutes, their scores improved 48%.
Spatial-temporal intelligence allows you to perform 3-D type manipulations on a mental image. It’s thought to be important for problems that arise in areas such as “mathematics, engineering, architecture, science, art, games (e.g. chess) and everyday life”. It's really hard to believe, but it's scientifically proven! ;)
listened to this whilst caring for an elderly gent , this particular morning we were listening to radio 3 and have to say it had all the hairs on my arms and well everywhere standing on end ,wonderful.
If Mozart had been able to get ahold of Finale or another composing software, he would've been able to write a symphony in a day, no doubt in my mind.

Why exactly was this piece chosen for the Mozart effect research? You should listen to Mozart's piano concertos too, especially 24 and 25. I think they may exhibit the mozart effect even more, because there are several layers, not just two.

Why exactly was this piece chosen for the Mozart effect research? You should listen to Mozart's piano concertos too, especially 24 and 25. I think they may exhibit the mozart effect even more, because there are several layers, not just two.
