For anyone who's wondering, both sections landed so far apart because the bow section sank and at anngle and the stern went straight down (watch it again and look very carefully).
Wanna know a scary coincidence? A book was written a number of years before the Titanic sank. The book was about a ship that sank on an April night in the north Atlantic. The name of the ship in the book : the Titan.
@tacciXkiller "In "The Discovery of the Titanic," Bob Ballard estimates that the bow and stern sections could have reached the bottom in as little as six minutes."
Titanic, as with any Ocean Liner, weather afloat, sinking, or even laying at the bottom of the ocean, they beauty is enough to make a zombie out of me litterally.
@SuperTitanicfreak yea because the stern couldn't hold the ocean pressure, that's too big.....and you see that the bow had just a little damage when the bow going down, because the bow had a pointy tip....so it can easily going down with just a little damage....it's like a bullet that shot easily because had a pointy tip
@Azwarrior94 It wasn't that they were cheap, in fact they spent alot of money building the ship and it was, at the time, the most advanced ocean liner in the world, virtually unsinkable. Any four compartments could be flooded and she would float. British maritime law at the time only required 16 lifeboats on passenger liners, Thomas Andrews built the ship to carry 64 but he was overruled because the board considered it too much. Titanic still went over by using 20 lifeboats.
@ck54suiza The Olympic, even with Titanic's fame, was scrapped in the 1930's. Safe to say, even if Titanic hadn't sunk, scrapping was inevitable. Furthermore, if Titanic never sank, you likely would have never even heard of her.
@ck54suiza Jep me too.. but if she missed the iceberg she wouldnt be this famous.. remember the olympic.. she never sank and no one remember her anymore..
@dionush96 I never claimed this as my own work. I copied it off Titanic's special features from the movie. I just added it for others to enjoy that has never saw it before.
@EddieTheFishReturns No, the machine they used to put in the rivets was too big to be used on the bow, which was more curved than the rest of the ship, so they hand-made rivets and put them in using hammers, which turned out to be a bad idea because the quality of hand-made rivets is lower than those that the machine put in.
LOL, soz, I did it coz I know I'd get a pissed reaction haha, but on a serious note I loved the Titanic, most beautiful ocean liner ever built, and yes such a big waste of lives, plus I loved the movie.

@tacciXkiller "In "The Discovery of the Titanic," Bob Ballard estimates that the bow and stern sections could have reached the bottom in as little as six minutes."
RetroTheory 6 months ago
@RetroTheory well, it sank in 4 hours but when reached the bottom maybe took 6 minutes
tacciXkiller 6 months ago
The stern was ripped to shreds while the bow remained mostly intact.......poor stern.....
RenerDeCastro 8 months ago
The bow had little damage because of the little air that was in it not because it had a pointy tip.

Impressive. it's sad to to see the stern looking like a pile of garbage. Yet the stern is so perserve, because no sub ever landed in the stern.

They where cheap in another way, the lack of life boats claiming a view is better than safety and saving more people

when the Titanic's bow hit the oceanfloor, it buried what the iceberg created,
the splits in the steal plating that lead in enough water to overwhelm the ship
ck54suiza 1 year ago
@ck54suiza Yes but people used some kind of x-ray technology to see the splits(there are 6 of them).

Didn't they use cheaper rivets (Best) as opposed to more expensive ones (Best Best) in its construction, to save money?
Apparently, this contributed to it sinking faster.
