I am sure you will enjoy it

    cheers

  • bloody hell when this first came out the graphics blew me away hows things have changed still good memories

  • I remember this game and I remember hating it.

  • omg i loved this the atmosphere was amazing id sit up all night and play it

  • Un juego genial !!!

  • i love it!!

  • The Amiga version is the best one of the bunch IMO, from what I remember the Megadrive version ran a little bit faster than on my old A600, but the Amiga versions's graphics were better overall and it also has better sound and that fantastic intro sequence with some top music!

  • Now this is a fun game! Nowdays they would put everything in 3d, give us "the largerst game world ever made" and other senseless stuff and kill the game. Oh 90's please come back :(

  • yup, more imagination back then.

This one is in my amiga favorites top-10.

Seems like the makers of C&C had their ideas from this game hehe.

  • This looks like the ultimate version of Desert Strike. The PC version has a very annoying sound effect for the chopper's blades and the visuals are much better than the SNES/Megadrive versions.

Time to get an Amiga emulator I think :)

  • You're right, although I have to apologize for the bad quality of the video :(

But I think/hope everyone here on Youtube knows that actual gameplay DOES look better =)

  • yup, as always: Amiga version = the best.

  • i love the first 3 for ps1 but the soviet strike I got stuck.

  • There was another game similar to this but you could swap helicopters, i used to have it, i cant remember the name :S i had this also.

  • Zee Wolf?

  • ahh classic i had this on my amiga 1200

them rpg come out from nowhere

  • what the hell is amiga

  • The first multimedia computer in history, released in 1985!

  • and first true multitasking computer!

  • i was soooooo gutted when i discovered my dad had thrown the old amiga in the skip.

    thanks for the memories!

  • this is where it started, but nuclear strike was my favorite... anyone up to the task of putting online a play-through? thanks a lot!

  • Amiga Longplay 218 is all about Desert Strike (over 3 hours to watch oO).

  • How do you emulate amiga games to work on vist`? Really miss theese classic games. Also the point'n click adventures...

  • I think WinUAE is vista compatible.

  • Oh man, I REALLY MISS my Amiga now. :-(

  • No need to be sad, every Amiga can be emulated on your PC :)

  • Yeah, you gotta love how ahead of its time the Commodore Amiga was, This game is a great example of just how superior Amiga versions of games were to their SEGA, NINTENDO and even IBM counterparts. Better sound and graphics = better gaming experience imo

  • holy shit this game is the bomb!
