I start eating it since a week ago. but since its for diet purpose, I can only baked it. doesn't like it very much, but I have to eat it cuz it contain a massive ammount of things that is good for our body.
@Redkoukenai japan has this icecream too and it is soooooooooo good!!! i love it!!!!! but i have to go to tourist areas to find it.....interesting Phillippines also has it!
I think she called it hawaiian something. I hope it wasn't a secret recipe. Hehe!
She used the purple sweet potatos with the golden insides. I'm vegetarian so I tried it sans bacon and it was AMAZING. So do try it! Oh, and you have to add lots of butter as well :)
Pretty sure they have all the sweet potato kinds in new Zealand. But they call them kumeras. My aunt would make mashed sweet potato with bacon, pineapple and cheese and paprika....amazing

I like the flow of this video. It really didnt look too appetizing when boiled... LIke some kind of scifi alien dish... But The way you describe it sounds nice. Guess Ill have to try it next time I make it to Japan...

In the Philippines it's called Ube. Whenever I go to visit my family out there I love having Ube flavoured snacks and Ice cream! It's the best!!!

i think they just use satsumaimo for yaki imo.
satsumaimo is like...pretty much normal sweetpotato. i have only seen the purple one used in deserts commercially.
you can buy the purple sweet potato in a powder form too!!!! well...if you have a lot of money to blow on ingredients you can...lol.
