The key was a Yale key - not GM. And what, exactly, could be more luxurious than the best leather everywhere, even edging the carpet? Or the finest matched Circassian walnut veneers (in this car Birds Eye maple), pure 100% wool carpeting with lambswool rugs? And that isn't an access to the fuel pump - it's access to the spare tyre so the air pressure can be checked. Obviously you don't know how to operate the electric gear range selector - all it requires is fingertip pressure.
