I'll be heading to that very location in July. Expecting a hugh family reunion with the Croppers on Chincoteague Island.

ya you might want to bring like 6 cans of bug spray

and especily when you go golfing or to the carnavil in july or when you go back wildcat lane you might want to bring bug spray

Please take plenty of bug spray as the mosquitoes are the size of small birds and swarm at dusk or any heat source

Fall, winter, and early spring are fine! Yes, there can be a problem in marshy areas or a few days after a good rain during the summer. Actually Spinnaker was designed and built to avoid problems ..... up on pilings and close to the water for breezes and no outside shower to breed them -- even boardwalks to the dock and car etc so there's no need to walk in the grass.

Great family vacation spot -- and with Wild Ponies to boot! I'm going to try to visit this spring! and spend our summer vacation on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands for sure. Looks like a lot of free or affordable activities to do, and perhaps we can save on restaurants by catching our dinner. We love fresh seafood! And now I know where to stay for our next seashore/beach family vacation.
