Try that with one of our Wescam's or Cineflex systems! It'll be stable enough but the 28vdc (helicopter power) would be an issue. But great to see you improvise guys. That's what we all do best huh? Fix on-the-fly.

But I'll stick to rotors :o)

yep, just like when an amature gets ahold of a steadicam too, they forget every basic thing, and there films get all flashy and dead. now the production team on spear knew when to use what. and they maintained production balance in some of the most remote and hostile shooting locations there are! some of their work puts national geopgraphic to shame!

at least in my opinion!-) just remember, its just another tool for moving the camera, not the only one! use everything at your disposal!-)

i built a non manned one with servo pan tilt control for a production in the northwest, total cost for a fulll sized 3chip hd camera came out to around 1500 dollars for materieals, machining, and rc control sytem. most cost is in the mechanical design and rigging! if you dyi, you can save BIG!
