I find it unbelievable that you are not as successful as one imagines. I believe you could have sold out concerts if people knew about you. So far most just randomly stumbled across your work. There are thousands of websites/magazines specializing in Anime and Games that would certainly help you out and let you advertise a bit.
I know it's easier said than done but you really deserve it and I'm positive you'll be very popular and going on world tours soon.
Wow, at 05:24 they rehearsed "Revived Power ~Battle with the Colossus~" (from Shadow of the Colossus), and at 05:42 you can see them actually performing it.
Makes me kinda wonder why there's no video available of that performance :-(, that piece is my favourite track on the SOTC soundtrack...
Anyway, more power to the Eminence Orchestra. *two thumbs up*
I went to their debut performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, their guest of honour was none other than the legendary Uematsu Nobuo, composer of all of the Final Fantasy music!
that last line by the composer about wishin for people not to really think about where the music is coming from but to just enjoy it was a great way to end that segment
They are amazing. I had the pleasure to work for the eminence crew a number of times for their concerts in Melbourne, and was blown away by the skill of the artists and their dedication. The after concert dinner's were always nice too :P.
Good luck eminence, I think you're destined for great things :-).
I can personally vouch how amazing they are - and I live in the USA. They were kind enough to send their Quintet to Otakon... anime/videogames meets anime/videogames. A perfect match that was one of the highlights of my life! Especially hearing Super Mario World... that was my first videogame sixteen years ago. Mr. Sakimoto had some good comments here, too - his presence at the concert sure didn't hurt the capacity crowd (or the fact that they gave autographs and sold CDs afterwards).
This is amazing as always, I almost feel like I should book a flight from Sweden to Sidney in order to see this. Oh and congratulations Dimix, you made the ABC news =)
I want to join this orchestra... (let me dream a bit...) I play the viola and I have always dreamed to join an orchestra like that... but I'm from lima, Peru and that's pretty utopic here...
Eminence is really picking up in popularity~ I've been lucky enough to attend three of their concerts, and each time there are more and more people there. Their most recent one was their fullest one yet and their music was amazing as always. I don't think I could ever tire of their concerts~
I hope the Eminence Orchestra finds success. There is some seriously great music there, but too many people are turned off immediately just because comes from video games.
Fantastic. I support Eminence very much. Video game music and classical music work very well together and may inspire a younger generation of the wonders and beauty of both classical music and video game music well.
I must admit that I have gotten into orchestral music thanks to video games. I love the works of Nobou Uematsu from the FF series and his new work with Lost Odyessey. And Shadow of the Colossus has one of the most brilliant soundtracks out there. I constantly find myself listening to these orchestral masterpieces. I only wish that Eminence could abroad to the United States.
These guys upside downed my musical world. And it's already 5 years :) Keep it going guys!

Why not? If that's what it takes to connect symphonic music to the young, that's what is necessary.
