@tpvalley .....Never in 7 years, but I have a cool clear lexan cover now for travel that just goes over the air cleaners from the rad shell to the cowl, and just sits on the strut rods.
I had a scooter once, every time it rained it would missfire, any type of HT lead and I never could solve that and here u go with 9 of the bastards working in full rain! lol.
I remember u could get cool military HT leads with dizzy cap covers all braided steel and waterproof.
Just a good ol' 305 Chevy with HO heads and flat tops. Also 2x2 intake with old Ford Carburetors and lakes style headers...all disguised as a '49 303 Olds. Thanks for your question, D
Done it many times...hasn't hurt anything yet. I think if you are moving forward it's pretty much OK. I also find that the engine runs so sweet when it's raining...something to do with water induction! For long distance runs though, since last year, I have built a scoop out of lexan that sits on the strut rods and covers the air cleaners. Looks not too bad either. Thanks for your question, Dave
