you said battery life is horrible as is on the 3gs.. i would have to disagree... i compared my iphone to my friends' smartphones (different makes and models) and we used the phone at about the same rate, doing similar things (playing music, texting, using gps etc..) for a few hours, and i had about 20% more battery left than they did..

The illusion of the bad battery on the iphone comes from the fact that you use it for so many things and dont even realize..

@bluefrisky I went on vacation last month. Battery was dead before the plane left... I've had two phones before the iPhone and they both have had much better battery life. Just from my personal experiences.

@TechTechManTV Well that highly depends on what you do with the phone. Obviously phones that only have features like texting, calls and a camera are going to last for days, but take any smartphone and use it intensely for one day and the battery will drain. Personally, I use it as my GPS, music player, phone, camera, gaming console and mobile internet, and it still lasts for at least a day and a half on average. Not to the mention that the iPhone has the most common charger in the world.

@NickLaz0r Yep, it's the software. I'm not sure if you have an iPod touch or iPhone but if you do, most likely you're on 3.1.3, 4.0 is just the updated software for it. I'm not sure if it's free, but I know the 3.0 update was 10 bucks.

There's two phones with android 2.1 out of the 20ish Android phones... New ones keep getting released with 1.5 and 1.6, no excuse for not having most updated firmware.

@Fredrico94 The mutlitasking looks fine to me but the only flaw is that developers have to add a code to their app to be able to multitask with it. The zoom is just for the pictures.

Dude, check the battery life on the average cellphone. iPhone battery is far from terrible, its not the fault of the phone that you can stop using it all day. Right? Really...

@adamthe1st Well from personal experience, my iphone has died at 12:30 when I'm going on vacation and I play with it for a few hours while waiting for the plane. That really wouldn't happen if the battery life was better but of course it's my fault for using apps that take up a lot of battery.
