  • @liam21157 Thanks Liam :-)

  • nice the tune goes well to it ive done one or two bits ,,, think il have to try this tune it goes so well to driving ,,, nice one ;-)

  • @ivorthicken Certainly is a great tune, a classic from yesteryear - Thanks for the vote. :-))

  • Hi,

    Great video - really atmospheric!

Can you please tell me the name of the (very good) song?

    Thanks

    Matt

  • @TheDirector17 Thank you - Was made last December 2009 during some very wet and cold conditions, hence my mood at the time and the resulting video.

The song is called: "Computer Love" by "Kraftwerk"

They were a German band from back in the eighties, playing electronic music -quite big at the time..

    Thanks

  • @brcreature Im no expert but I think they went through a widening program some years back now. 4 - 5 lanes are quite common on busy stretches but you still get the regular 3 lanes on the quieter parts...

  • @brcreature Wow..!! Thats quite a comment and one I very much appreciate.

I just experiment from time to time, basically just to see what kind of results I can achieve, add a little music and hey presto !! :-)

    Thanks for watching.

    Paul.

  • Excellent !!!!!

  • the van must be doing some milage every week??? hope its reguarly servicedhaha!!!

  • This time of year Im averaging 2k a week.... Yes I do a few Oil changes at this rate.... ha ha

  • You must be a great driver, with 80 mph on the highway, the cam holding in the right hand out of the auto window and also backwards........hahaha

The video is made super, my friend

    5* and greetings from Germany

  • Not so a great driver but crazy driver...ha ha. Thank you for watching my video and rating Bernhard. Many Greetings from England. :-) Keep on driving !!!

  • Enjoyed the ride, seemed very lonely out there. Music was good, matched the video very well.

  • Your certainly clocking some miles up with me... ha ha. Yes it does look lonely, never thought of it like that before, however if you've ever driven this motorway at normal times, you will know just how bad it gets. Thats why driving it in the dead of night when every one else is tucked up in bed, is a real joy...

I had too do this every night last week. Well someone has to keep the wheels of industry turning... ha ha. I love this track too. :-))) Thanks for watching !! oh & being a passenger...

  • Good one, Paul, liked the music & how did you manage to get those shots outside the cab? 5* & Fav

  • I have a camera mount, brilliant piece of kit. Thanks for asking. Yes I think the music suits, just hope YT don't go and mute it for me... ;-)

  • lovely video and nice music... thanks! :)

  • Thank You !!! Classic song isn't it? I too like it very much. :-)

    Thanks for watching.

  • Been down the m25 this week twice...only at night, they don't pay me enough to do it in the daytime lol.

  • Fives times for me this week, Mon to Fri, and all at night time. Maybe we have crossed paths? who knows... I definitely prefer driving the M25 at night, hell of a lot less hassle. If you should spot a Sprinter in "Plane Spotting" mode chances are it could be me...LOL

  • We might have crossed.. I come down from Bradford, but I turn and burn after a break as it takes 4h28 to run down and the same back (impossible in the daytime) and even at night if there are closures etc.

    I'll look out for you.

  • J10 M6 me, then onto M40. Its not a regular run for me, just so happens I did it a lot this particular week, but you never know, I always try too keep an eye open for someone familiar too me. Drive safe. :-))

  • Liked this very much. Although the video quality at night isn't perfect I think this video is all the better for that.

The section from 3:53 looks great with the spray.

I appreciate the time and effort you put into all your videos; they 'flow' very well.

    Onwards and upwards PB

    Ian

  • Ha Ha Ian what can I say except many thanks. I hate that horrible effect between black and white colours, modern equipment picking out the in between colours. Having said that I agree with you regarding setting an ambience, wasn't intentional at the time. :-) The spray shots took a bit me choreographing ha ha... This trip certainly passed by with ease... Was back home before I knew it. Ha Ha. Q is what do I do next..? Hmmm

  • Great video is perfect Paul.*****

  • Ah !! Thank You, your so kind. :-))

  • I didn't think it was possible Paul, but these videos of yours just keep getting better and better. This is absolutely top class work, the music was a perfect match to create the correct mood....Brilliant, brilliant...brilliant........and once more....Brilliant !!....5* Bob

  • Wow...! Your making me feel like King Tut.... ha ha. I hope I don't fall off this pedestal Bob... :-)) Im only toying around with the camera Bob, as you do. Just trying too see what works and what doesn't. It passes a few miles and I get to learn a tad more about night video shots... Its all done safely I might add. I wanted too use this track for a while now, but my video never seemed right for it until now... Cheers Bob, your a star !!!!! :-)

  • i love driving on empty roads !!

  • Me too, trouble is I get spoilt. All this week I have basically worked nights driving to Surrey, the roads have been brilliant, no hassle, straight there and straight back. Today Friday, normal day driving... Yuk all stop start, road rage... Aaagh !!!

    You get the picture... :-)

  • Well made video Paul, you pretty much had the road to youself didnt you 5*

  • Sure did Walter, best time too drive along this road. If you saw it at peak times you would understand my glee.... Thanks for your support as ever. Paul. :-)

  • excellent Paul just the best

  • Wow..! What can I say. Many thanks Wayne. Im only mucking around at the end of the day seeing what works and what doesn't. I enjoy myself and the miles soon pass... ha ha.

  • Good video Paul, your camera seems to handle the low light conditions very well,i have travelled a few miles watching your vids, just keep em coming............John

  • Thanks John, the camera needs a certain amount of light I have noticed to get half decent results, this has all been a bit trial and error on my part. I know now that I need good bright street lamps such as on the M25 to end up with a good shot in the dark.. Thanks for being a passenger. :-)

  • Nice Music, mate! Kraftwerk-style... And great views also. How did you keep the lense dry?

  • Thanks, the camera was in a dry part, but the effect I got was good. I was just experimenting really. :-)

  • Perfect music choice. Good camera angles and dare I say it but the M25 at night looks great.

I've probably asked this before but what camera do you use? The low light recording is excellent with very little artifacting although I noticed some pixillation but that's probably down to YT compression. I'm guessing your camera uses a CMOS imager as car headlights are streak-free with none of the old camcorder irritations of big vertical smears when pointing at strong light source.

  • Thanks for the nice comments, you seem to know your camera stuff, me I just point and shoot... ha ha.

I use a Panasonic HD camcorder, take a look at my recent uploads, "My Camera - My Equipment" you'll see it there. We get the Pixillation effect on our modern TV and I do on my comp screen. Where old TV's would just show black and white areas end of, modern stuff picks up all the in between colours and shades, hence that low light horrible effect. Love this music track. Thanks for watching. Paul.

  • A Big Thanks Andy !!! :-)) Yes Im quite pleased with the results, although I do need the motorway lighting too get them. I was just playing around with different ideas, it eased my journey and stopped me falling asleep... ha ha. Your not missing anything on the dreaded M25 matey... You just watch this video, cus thats as close as you wanna get... ha ha. Thanks for your support. Paul.

  • What a gorgeous view from 1:09 to 1:15 ! ; )

  • Ha ha... Yes you don't see that view very often.... You can see why Im enjoying this drive...! :-))
