My friends Berkshire locomotive tried to pull 25 cars and when he backed it up it slipped so he put it in forward and after on lap around it was missing 2 traction tires. It had never been run before that!
was this on level track or your grade? a grade will make all the difference. I have a semi scale mth sd70m-2 and it can pull more than 20 cars up an 8% grade when it could usually pull more than 50 on level track. I haven't tested its max number of cars though.
@TommyZTrains I once over oiled my conventional mp15 and got the rails wet with oil and it could barely pull 10 cars on level ground without slipping like crazy
I think how you got it moving was when you backed her up the coupler slack was enough to get some momentum and get the train moving. Great video I always like to test my trains limits.

Tommy that engine is a awesome puller!!!! The NS cars were cool but those CSX coke express cars take the cake for sure!!! Its hard to believe that just one locomotive can pull this much!!! Stellar video!!!
@TommyZTrains Nice, with that scale-speed, you could travel ten blocks in 3 minutes! xD, ANd yes, my friend attempted to stretch over a 100ft of G-Scale track on a local sidewalk by his house so the power can reach it!
