  • What a strange thing to say. Oh, you're one of those 'haters' on Youtube.

  • hey there! I live in Ocala as well! I love the historic district.

  • I think it's a great neighborhood. Thanx for checkin' out my vid!

  • wow, this is really nice!!

  • Thank You! It was quite an effort to end up with this, not want I wanted but it still works.

  • I want one :-( such a beautiful neighbourhood, I bet you are being modest at saying you dont live in one lol ;) x

  • Seriously. I live in a converted garage apartment in this neighborhood. I WISH I lived in one of these! My place aint too shabby, but hell, can you imagine? Hugs.

  • That was really nice! I love looking at old and grand houses like that! Great job.

  • Thanx Barb. It wasn't what I wanted to post, I had tons of cool video, but it wouldn't save. But as a slideshow, not too shabby. Thanx again for watching.

  • They all seem to have such character- the houses in my area are just bland identical boxes!

  • Yep, lot of neat old places here, all different. Thanx for checking it out my friend.

  • beautiful homes - a girl can only dream - love the neighborhood!

  • I know right? One day...

  • I love our neighborhood! Go Ocala!!! LOL

  • Again with the "Go Ocala!" LOL backatcha.

  • beautiful houses . I bet you wished you lived in one off those.

  • Don't you know it! Thanx Amanda!

  • Very nice indeed Dean, its seems a little strange to me as so few are made from brick, nearly everything here is brick of some sort or another, but it world be a boring old world if we were all the same.:)

  • Yeah, not too much brick down here, I guess you guys used it all! LOL A lot of wood and stucco I guess. The majority of homes down here are boring block ranch style homes. Thanx for watching Big Guy.

  • Grand old ladies...hmm.. thought you were gonna vlog about me. lol Seriously, those are gorgeous homes, they truly are grand! Thank you for the tour.

    Joanie

  • You may have just given me an idea....LOL. Yes, totally magnificent homes! You're welcome Sweetieface! (New nickname)

  • Sweetieface, i'LL TAKE IT :-)

  • Such awesome houses! You live in a very beautiful neighborhood! I have always wanted a big old house with a giant front porch. My family almost bought a 120 year old house that is on the National Historical Registery. It was beautiful and so unique. It was already partially restored...but we found out it had some SERIOUS problems that we could not afford to fix. :( Maybe someday...

  • I love giant porches! The very first house in the vid has a huge wrap-around that nearly doubles the size of the house! I love it. Yeah just when you think, Hey I bought this old house and you're done, oh no, then comes the upkeep and restoration, can get very costly. Most of these are in the $400-700,000 range, only two are million dollar homes! I know, hard to believe! Thanx Sandi!

  • Holy cow! That's alotta money! The one I was looking at was in a very small town out in the country so it was nowhere near that price range.

  • Really? I guess I am numbed by it. House prices in Ocala are very high, with these being some of the modest ones, believe it or not. We are the horse capitol of the world, we have new construction starting at $1.5 million in some developements. Horses are big money and big business here. Do you know what is becoming the biggest business here? Banks! Go figure! There are new ones popping up everywhere!

  • There's something very wonderful about old houses. Americans are so quick to tear down and build new. Those old houses are a part of our history, and I think they should be treated with great respect. Thanks for sharing the video!

  • Ain't it the truth?! There are dozens more that I could have filmed that are just as beautiful, perhaps I will make a sequal?! Thanx Dianna for watching!

  • You are very fortunate to live in the historic district. Cost BIG bucks to live there. I tried to get a place over there and a smaller house than what I have now was $1200 a month! I live on the other side of the tracks, LOL. I won't show off my neighborhood, it would only depress people, lol. Great vid! :)

  • Well, I rent an apartment here, not too bad rent-wise, but yes, even a tiny house over here goes for like $1200 or so. There is one near here that is renting for $2400 a month!!! Can you imagine that for rent?! Thanx for watching Annie!

  • There's a few nice historic homes/mansions in there. I tried to pick out my favorite... hard to have just one :o. - keep up the good work SG!

  • Yeah, all very nice, my fave is at 0.21, it is called The Burford House and is rumored to be haunted by a female ghost! How cool is that? What is even stranger is that it is now the corporate offices for Burger King! Can you believe that? LOL

  • Ha! You got me to come back to check that one out :P

  • LOL It's a cool old house, and huge! I am trying to get an investigation together to go there, perhaps in the fall, keep ya posted!

  • Maybe not haunted, but there's something weird-looking in the top middle left window at :38...

A bit of a different vid, nice neighborhood :)

  • LOL. Leave it to you, could be, don't know looks like a reflection. That particular house has been empty for a long time, but hey, you can buy it it for $475,000. It's really nice, I went to look at it, lots of cool features.

  • Wow Dean! Some beauties there. Thanks for sharing:-)

  • You're very welcome Chris! Thanx for watching!

  • wow u really do have some beautiful houses there!! u should come to Rochester here in the uk some of the houses here r very old with alot of history

  • Would love to see those! I love old historic buildings and homes, I always have. Perhaps you could make a slideshow like this to share? Thanx Kazy!

  • ok i will i walk past them every day!! i like local history too

  • np i would love to do that for u

  • Nice digs Spammy! I don't have one of them either unfortunatly. It was Xmas? Where was the snow? LOL Was that an Enya tune?? Loved it!

  • Not a whole lotta snow down here Buddy! Yes they are great old homes. Yeppers, Enya's "Book of Days", one of my faves by her. Thanx Rick!
