My mother was a big Percy Sledge fan and his music grew on me over the years myself. Sadly she passed away this week at the age of 52. Percy and his music bring back good memories.

i had the honor to meet percy sledge and his wife in the early 80's in a little bayou town called venice,la...this small cajun bar was packed ppl setting on the bar, outside there were ppl for as far as you could see to hear him sing...he sounded the same in that lil bar as he does on his records.they were wonderful ppl to meet. this man never got the the honor he was due for such a beautiful voice.
