that sounds sweet, my 08 FX2 has the 5.4 in it along with series 40 Flowmasters, I just got my Roush Cold Air intake and will be installing it first thing tomorrow morning, hope it sounds even sweeter than it does now and can't wait to feel the difference in her
I ordered the intake directly through Roush along with the exhaust. It was like $370. I'm not sure if it was really worth that much, but I can't say I can complain about it either. I like it. It adds a little sound and the engine seems to have faster throttle response and the fuel economy (when I keep my foot out of it lol) has averaged better... About a mile more per gallon. The kit also looks awesome under hood, with the brushed alluminum ROUSH logo. I'm satisfied with it.
I went through hell and back twice to get the exhaust on. The fitment of the pipes is mediocre at best and it basically took me the better part of 2 days to get everything set in and sealed up. The sound is purely awesome but I don't feel it was worth my efforts nor the price I paid for it. I won't be purchasing it again in the future. 4/10 is my score
Lookin good man! I'm putting my exhaust on in the morning. Suppsed to be 50* and sunny. I see your a fellow rider too. I'll get a vid of my 05 FLHTI when I ressurect it from it winter storage. Spring never comes too soon lol!
Hey, how did your Roush install go? The only bad thing I had was that Roush missed sendig the two tip hangers in the kit. No big deal, I called them up and had them shortly thereafter.
Thanks. I still like Flowmaster alot too though. It was`tough to decide. My '04 I had sounded like yours. Just thought I'd try the Roush on this one and I'm pleased.
Just a short clip. Today was nice for once. It was like 60 degrees, so what better to do than clean up my baby, drink beer, and wax:) LOL Currently, truck still has factory manifolds and cats, Roush cold air intake and Roush off road split rear exit cat-back exhaust. Hope you enjoy:)
