  • @djmarcc If you've never dj'd before in your life I could see this being really really useful, these are the things that are generally completely left out for you to find out yourself if your starting.

  • omg *facepalm*

  • in other words: DJ'ing is playing a disc, playing a second disc, and removing the first disc.

    Doesnt sound that hard...

  • @belgiumboy3 real dj's use their decks and a mixer :p

  • @belgiumboy3 dude.. theres a different in being a DJ and a Producer.. real Djs uses decks and a mixer, maybe a pc with their music, and a producer uses programs to make music (:

  • @johanmulliz he's is partiality correct. When a producer preforms live he/she is dj'ing.

  • thats how to mix music.

    yea fair enuf...expert village....really experts?

  • oh! now thaty i saw this, im good as david guetta!! YEEEEAAYY

  • @GamEfreakStunter David Guetta sucks, so that's probably correct.

  • its titled 'how to be a professional dj'... because it just takes 1:19 to become a pro, its that easy guys :P thumbs up

  • did anyone else really want to learn how to fade the same exact record in and out?? that was SOOOOO SWEET!

  • I agree, but if his gonna choose this way to help people, he still needs to explain deeper .... showing the beatmatching for this to happend for example.. cuz when i didnt know how to do this, and i watched these vids, this LOOKED basic, but i was still left with a million questions..

  • Sure he can do more;)...he just wanted to explain the basic principle of mixing music and he did so

  • this is the dumbest dj-video i've seen as of yet, "professional"? My granny could do that, is she then a professional dj? This is dj for dummies at it's best.

  • @kaneelbroodje

Show some stuff from your set!

Come on let me see something from Sweden!

All this little suckers here with stupid comments!

  • "your set!" what set? specify which one, and where you even found it.

  • OMG you havent a clue how to mix good your a disgrace to professional DJ's im gonna do a mix and show people how to mix for real

  • hows ya scratchin?come check out my vids man.kepp up the good work

  • yeah lol he isnt even talking about bpm

  • Hey my brother was watching this and he told me to ask you how do you know when to fade in the song? like when the one that the crowd is hearing is almost over or what?

  • know the songs you are mixinvg, keep track of when YOU feel the song begins to drop (fade out) or a climactic part that would be complimented by your cued track (example, song A hit's a second of silence, well then you got a no brainer mix point). Also try using efx to help transition.

  • man the second music is the same one. i was expecting tips to equate beats manually (tracks with different beat rates of course)

  • after watching this u became a pro dj and learned how to mix music right ? xD

  • This guy sucks, as he just says " I do this, I do that". However, he doesn't explain how etc. This is pathetic!

  • that was pathetic

  • who doing music this way?

  • this dude makes it look simple!!!

  • the song in the beginning sounds exactly like the second song?

  • yeah, right?

  • man thats not a mix thats a mix of your mindless thoughts

  • ROFL

  • i would like to start out slow by just mixing different songs like on a computer i really dig all the mixing songs but i would like to take it a step further if i could

  • Thats like saying "pick up a guitar, and strum the strings...thats how you play guitar..." I agree, bad man, really bad... :)

  • man bad really bad......

  • is this Scratch Academy

  • could anyone PLEASE tell me the name and the artist of the track he plays first?

    thanks in advance

  • Hey stefan that track is from Scratch Academy's practice vinyl so if ur in NYC LA or Miami you can buy one from the school.

  • yeah coz that really helped

  • Have To Agree With SkillMix On This One Hurricane.

  • Actually all you did was matched the beat of one song with the other, which isn't really mixing although it's preceived as such. mixing is when you take two different songs and blend them in together.

  • You can call it either way but more people are going to know the term mixing in regards to beat matching. Taking a vocal from one song and a beat from another would be a blend.

  • Yeah, I believe what that dude was doing was called beat matching. 'Cause he had the same song playing on both decks and all he did was made sure the tempo was playing at the same speed on both decks. Just like you said blending is taking vocals or beats from different songs and playing them on top of each other. I'm not a dj, but I at least know that haha. Some of these cats will get people confused.
