Probably not, I haven't seen the HL2 weaponset in there... but it could work since most source games grab data from a main filepile...I think.

Portal literally had all the HL2 weapons in the first place.

Probably they didn't want to take the time to get rid of them, or forgot to, probably like CoDWaW forgot to remove the console commands for the cheats.

Go ahead and stick any HL2 compatible map inside the maps folder in Portal.

Also just try to Impulse 101 in the console. You'll get all the HL2 weapons.

lol its a valve made game thus using the source engine its not very much a mod moreso just using the same cheats a physengine

True that, it's Source. But it has ALL the HL2 weapons in Portal. Most Source games try to avoid that. :D

i move the Original HL maps to Counter-strike Directory (not Source engine game aka 1.6) and it can heal when using the heal machine (dunno the name)

for play with the portalgun in other map, u only need loading maps (hl2,hl2dm,css) in portal.

And I mean cheats in Portal made me discover that the game is sort of a weird HL2 mod (it ahs HL2 weapons whut) so that made me try loading maps into it (at that time the internetcrowds already discovered it oh boy I'm so special!)

Make sure that console is enabled (turn the checkbox on in Keyboard under Options.)

Type ~ in-game.

Then type in "SV_Cheats" 1 to turn them on.

Impulse 101 for all weapons and GOD for yeah, Godmode.

no your gpu does the motion blur and the reson is becuz your procesor is probably like 1.7 dualcore im gesing and thats ok to run this but enless you have a 7series nvidia or a x800 ati or higher u prob wont be able to run it that well and most laptops now have about 2 gigs and thats fine for this i run this game like butter becuz i built my pc u should 2 if ur looking for info on how to build ur pc i can help

hl2s story can have the portal gun. just find portal gun in portal folder, put into hl2s gun folder and do impulse 101. its THAT easy

someone made a tutorial on how to get the original HL2 game to work with portal. you basically copy over maps and scripts to the portal directory. so you aren't the first guy to find out this is possible. however, i don't blame you for making this video. i always appreciate the curious gamer.

Okay, to clear things up: I made this vid after I just completed Portal, so finding out that it was just merely a mod layered over the HL2 basic pack was kinda exciting. Most maps of HL2 would just work.

With all the new things pro modders found out now, this movie is..really lame now. :D
