@dreamera1 Vermiculite is also used for reptile(obviously you don't know anything). Lizards, geckos, snakes, etc, are incubated with vermiculite which is recommended by most people who do happen to breed reptiles.
@TyTykingofwolves Yes you can, but make sure you actually are using soil that has no fertilizer in it, watch this, might be helpful :) He used the substrate that you can use for reptiles laying eggs and plus it's a helpful video too
check out my videos on my incubator w/bearded dragons eggs just laid 3week ago and 2nd clutch came in 20 day ...18 in each clutch total 36 eggs everything is working great ...........thanks all need views
ok i have a question my female beardie laid her eggs earlier than expected and my incubator is still shipping, i went and setup a plastic bin with water and water heater do you think it will work?
@666krissi thge first time you moisten, soak the vermiculite in a ton of water, then let it sit, pour out the excess, then squeeze the vermiculite and pour out that excess, you shouldnt have to remoisten. if you need to remoisten ur a syringe or a squirt bottle. dont get the eggs wet!
hi..i need a help..my leos are going to lay egg soon..i dont prepare the incubator..help me..what is the substrate to use in incubator??pls pm me..thnx..
yes floats or sits on tall rocks to stabilize it. I actually put weights on the top to sink the vermiculite container deeper in the water.. But your best bet is buying a real incubator so you have enough room for all the eggs you get from anything
Good video, and yeah the coolers work better but you can use the aquarum if you use something to cover the top. But ya the cooler is the best thing for incubating several clutches for the cost.

@WillArtInc
no my friend this worked and kept all eggs alive till the commercial incubator arrived in the mail.
thanks for your input however we raised close to 150 dragons from one female alone. With almost a 100% egg survival rate.
