@WeirdlyBeardly Ness is using his down attack in the air. This one is actually a trick down air, as ness is also using a jump at the same time. Only Ness (and sometimes Yoshie) can use his attack and jump to stop his movements vertically and slide in the air sideways. Oh & if you don't wavedash you are limiting yourself. Wavedashing has no weaknesses. It increases your momentum, allows you to move much faster than dashing, & increases your versatality. If you can't do that, you'll always suck. ALWAYS!

Anaki didn't wavedash much with Link because Links wavedash SUCKS! Link is one of the few chaacters with a practically worthless wavedash. Anaki wavedashes a lot with his NEW main Captain Falcon, though.

i must say tho i strongly feel that it is lame using the ledge grab tactic to stop people returning to the platform. you can beat anyone no matter how bad you are using that tactic :(.
You've obviously NEVER played any high level smash then. The ledge hog tactic is not the end all, be all that makes you automatically win a match. There are tons of different things you can do to keep someone off the stage, and unless they are really damaged and sent really far out, many times, ledge hogging isn't the best tactic.

Ive been playing melee till i get my copy of brawl. I'm in UK so it will take till like wednesday. I played ness for the first time in the whole time ive played ssb since the N64. He is actually quite good but i still prefer Luigi, DK and Zelda
This has really shown me the power of Ness I never realized years ago before my GameCube broke. Now that I have a Wii and Brawl coming out soon, I too shall become a Ness/Lucas user, and I'll fight more gracefully than ever.

3. They're not playing lighting melee, advanced smashers just move so fast and use techniques to get rid of lag between moves, so they move faster than smasher who don't know the advanced techniques.
I like to think I'm one of the best Ness players in the world (though this is only because there's not a lot of people that play Ness, and because the best player in the world taught me a lot through private messages and stuff)
Oh and Ness is in Brawl. Not confirmed, but don't worry. I have total faith that he'll be unlockable, or they just didn't announce him yet.

nah. it's all of his b moves that hold him back. I use him alot, he's my favorite character, but all of his be moves leave him open;from start to finish.
I'm training a lot with Ness a lot, although I don't have anyone to train against(I'm just doing 1 vs 2 matches so far). Ness doesn't suck if you can use him well. Just because he doesn't have one cheap move you can be cheap and keep using doesn't mean he sucks. Vilness is better than me, but as everyone is saying, the opponents aren't great to begin with.
Also, if you're gonna say Ness sucks, how about you at least learn how to spell before you start spreading you're dumb opinion.

I like to think I'm one of the best Ness players in the world (though this is only because there's not a lot of people that play Ness, and because the best player in the world taught me a lot through private messages and stuff)
Oh and Ness is in Brawl. Not confirmed, but don't worry. I have total faith that he'll be unlockable, or they just didn't announce him yet.

woaw, EArthBound and Final Fantasy VI music ftw! (my two favorite RPGs, ever). This makes me proud to be a Ness-user! Great stuff, great stuff! Sadly though, his B moveset sucks! XD O wel, he's Ness. For that alone, he ROCKS! =D

nah. it's all of his b moves that hold him back. I use him alot, he's my favorite character, but all of his be moves leave him open;from start to finish.

I'm training a lot with Ness a lot, although I don't have anyone to train against(I'm just doing 1 vs 2 matches so far). Ness doesn't suck if you can use him well. Just because he doesn't have one cheap move you can be cheap and keep using doesn't mean he sucks. Vilness is better than me, but as everyone is saying, the opponents aren't great to begin with.
Also, if you're gonna say Ness sucks, how about you at least learn how to spell before you start spreading you're dumb opinion.

If you think this was sped up, you're 100% wrong. This guy's just using L-canceling most of the time. (Plus he's already going pretty fast in the first place)

i only wish this video wasnt sped up so the first few times i watched it I wouldnt think it was impossible.
Luckily I noticed that there is no way to make your PK thunder go faster, and it's going pretty fast on here.
It is possible to be this fast!
(I'm not saying that this guy isnt a super quick dude, bc he is)
