A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. Sorry don't want this to happen to me
well, homecoming kinda was a breed of its own in a scence. but dont get me wrong toataly liked the game. i just think it driffted from the orignal corse of silent hill.
Silent hill Homecoming And SM are not bad in my opinion, all silent hill games got their different kind if stiles, likes silent hill 4. If you hate those games then you are not a true silent hill fan
@Undeadguy95 no i don't think not likeing homecoming and SM means there not true fans. I liked SM but I judt didn't enjoy homecomingas much as the others. The story was really good but it just didn't feel like i was really in SH the way the others did. It was still pretty good though :)
@Undeadguy95 Its not the same to be a "fan" or a real "fanatic" (like some religious people), I'm a fan, but that does not mean that I like all SH games, that stupid, when something its bad, its bad, and Homecoming it's a awful game, and its not about of preferences, we don't need two brains for recognize that Twilight its a piece of bullshit, its the same thing whit Homecoming. Obviously missing the silent team.
OMG stop freaking nagging about how homecoming 'murdered' silent hill! It is still silent hill, and I actually really liked homecoming. I loved every Silent Hill because every SH had its own things which made it awesome...
i know about horror games for me silent hill is the best for not being scary but for more disturbing monster looks wtf moments fatal frame is the best for being a scariest game the all time
@Rukia91554 actually, i think they have already filmed it, couple weeks ago, that was their time plan, even some fan was in the set, where there where props from silent hill 3 beginning carnival. but carrie-ann moss as claudia doubts me a bit, maybe if she died her hair to blond, but heather choice was good.

@musicloverfromA45 SH2 is the most popular because for most people, it was the first time going to that quiet little town. Admittedly, it probably had better levels and monsters than SH3, (got so f**kin tired of running through the sewers blasting pendulums), but SH3 had, (in my opinion), a better story, even if it does take a little while to pick up.
I only played a bit of homecoming sadly cause my ex took my xbox 360 back that she got me for christmas and sold it after we split up...... but it seemed great! I am a silent hill fanatic which is why it hurts me to say i havent beaten homecoming and have not even played shattered memories..... but i am awaiting downpour!!! for all you other deep silent hill fans please subcribe to me we will have silent hill covers up very soon!!! not trying to spam but get word out! thanx

BULL some idiot screwed around with Silent HIll 1, there was no ice in the original game. nor was there smoking drugs and promescuity. FFS shattered memories is a joke
@OddPieceLady Akira wanted the feel of the game to be icy but they didnt have the technology to make it look right, so they settled for an ashy fog look. I didnt even mention the drugs and crap, Im simply discussing the look and feel of the game. XD
what crazy made that up?? the music was Akira's forte, the artwork and set designs were primerlly by Sato and Ito, fog and snow out of season was the original concept, nothing to do with technical issues, damn some older games are better than modern ones, because they were creative with limits. I bloody hate SH SM, it's crap with a capital C

They got rid of our hero Harry mason (Silent hill 1 and 3) to make a Playboy, drunk,wussy, Broken heart man. A man who abandoned his daughter. The harry we know is the one who went through hell to save his ''Own'' daughter. After Sh 1 he also left her the pendant which she will use when the time is right. That's the real Harry mason.Simple if there is SM there can never be Sh1 and 3
Exactly, they screwed with it to the breaking point. I was wrong, it's not only a joke, but an insult to bear the name Silent Hill. SM is all that is wrong with this trend of ruining franchises for the sake pf popularity.
And you're right, if that one was considered official, there would be no Silent Hill 3. Dosn't work at all

@mrbloodshugar I got all the endings, and the first ending i got was the Love lost. Thanks for respecting my opinion. If it had another name and was a stand alone it would've started a sequel of it's own. But putting the name of Silent hill, I must say it's disastrous. A bad game for a silent hill game, a kinda of worth it game for it's own

@mrbloodshugar Well i don't know anymore since when the producers are just soo confident i never like it. If downpour fails, it's the end of silent hill. Thats true, i want TEAM SILENT back in Action to give us back the series. 1,2,3 and 4 were the best. Origins not bad, Homecoming copied a lot but not that bad, and Shattered memories just no comment, im tired of critisizing that poor game
Shattered memories has been the best silent hill for a while, going with a more psychological theme (as with SH2). Don't complain just because there was no "fanservice". Alessa wasn't needed for the storyline in the reimagining, what'd you expect, a direct port of SH1? SM takes place in an alternate timeline to SH1, where it was all fake. In SM (much as in SH2's letter from Mary) Silent hill is simply a place in the mind of the 25 year old Cheryl where her father is a Hero.

It doesn't have anything to do in the series. Simple if there is SM there cannot be Silent hill 1 and 3. Shut up before you talk. Laura is a character in silent hill 2. So why is the music in silent hill 3? Wasn't Laura a little girl that visited Mary in the hospital?! IM SO CONFUSED!

@Livingdead170 Apparently, you didn't pay attention to the ideas in the game. They either steal from that horrible movie or make no sense at all. Too actiony is only the tip of the iceberg for this game.

@rainethesage interesting story comrad, homecoming was scary, fun, the graphics were nice, the music was epic, overall it was a challenge, maybe if you took 10 seconds to stop nit picking EVERYTHING then you might enjoy it.
Silent hill is awesome, all of it...1-7, 8 this year, all of it...anyone who says otherwise can go burn in their own version of our beloved city. Pyramid head wants to say hello to them.
@MrNicktheparakeet Nothing's technically murdered the franchise since it's still going strong. As for liking/disliking things, I take it by a case by case scenario and give every game a chance as a SH fan. That said however, I think people need to learn to respect people and what they like/dislike and not argue about it, because it won't change someone else's opinion.
We're not ASSUMING they're gonna suck, we KNOW they suck. Homecoming was a piec of god forsaken puke covered shit with nothing good about it. The plot was full of holes and knock offs of previous games, that have no place in it (If you actually played the previous games you'd know) like piramidhead, the combat system was broken, the characters were bland and it the music was not nearly as good as in the first 4 SHs. Homecoming SUCKED. So will Downpur most likely.
@kolonel1136 ive played all 5 including origins and shattered memories, the combat feature was DIFFERENT, just because YOU couldn't figure it out doesn't mean it sucked, you are one of those people who couldn't deal with it, not every game is easy, there was nothing wrong with the plot, besides the plot shouldn't matter to gamers so much, the music was awesome, i don't know what the hell you are talking about, but i really dont care, have fun sucking at the new games KTHNXBAI.

When the knife is 100x more afficient than any given fire weapon - it's a sign of something going wrong. I only agree with the music, it was good. I bought Homecoming and it did suck. It was not well done, period.
The old games were directed very well, they grasped how to make a game truly disturbing, unsettling, and shocking. They didn't just throw shit at you going "this kind of stuff is scary to you, right?" They didn't need a psych evaluation at the beginning to try and scare you. Silent Hill 2 was scary as shit because they knew the basics of how to lead an audience through environment, ambiance, and story.

@ChrisGnosis aka you mad, all i need to know is you are a silent hill fanboy who doesnt want konami to proceed with game making because its not the same as the other games, sh5 was fine, controls werent broken, was fun, but thats my opinion, except the controls part, i can tell you they were actually working properly.
I'm not an obsessed fanboy, I've only played 2 and Homecoming, I don't care what Konami does, I've never had a problem with the controls (as a matter of fact Homecoming was easier to control than 2), and I'm not saying it wasn't fun. All I was trying to say is Silent Hill 2 was a unique and scary experience and Homecoming wasn't, it sucked in comparison. It wasn't scary, unique, or well done, and that isn't the fault of old fans, it was a poor production team.
@MrNicktheparakeet Homecoming had its own feel to it, but i love it, it was so cool, and of course the story was as great as ever with amazing plot twists and the freakiest monsters yet.
@darkelite6667 the monsters were carbon copies of the monsters in the film which was fucking tiresome and was obviously just done to attract new fans who had seen the film.

Ya i know it pissed a lot of SH fans off that Alex was like on steroids with the weapons and that it had a very different feel to it, but they were just trying to add something new to it. I'm not so sure about Downpour, but I'll wait 'til I see it.
The fourth game had a good story because it tied in some of what the Order was doing with their victims, and I think it has something to do with Alessa's past. I think Walter knew both Alessa and Claudia, even though they don't signify that. It just seems that way. Not to mention, there's a piece of paper in the Wish House that talks of Dahlia trying to look for her daughter. So it ties it more than you think.....

Exactly, they screwed with it to the breaking point. I was wrong, it's not only a joke, but an insult to bear the name Silent Hill. SM is all that is wrong with this trend of ruining franchises for the sake pf popularity.
And you're right, if that one was considered official, there would be no Silent Hill 3. Dosn't work at all

Shattered memories has been the best silent hill for a while, going with a more psychological theme (as with SH2). Don't complain just because there was no "fanservice". Alessa wasn't needed for the storyline in the reimagining, what'd you expect, a direct port of SH1? SM takes place in an alternate timeline to SH1, where it was all fake. In SM (much as in SH2's letter from Mary) Silent hill is simply a place in the mind of the 25 year old Cheryl where her father is a Hero.

As for liking/disliking things, I take it by a case by case scenario and give every game a chance as a SH fan. That said however, I think people need to learn to respect people and what they like/dislike and not argue about it, because it won't change someone else's opinion.

We're not ASSUMING they're gonna suck, we KNOW they suck. Homecoming was a piec of god forsaken puke covered shit with nothing good about it. The plot was full of holes and knock offs of previous games, that have no place in it (If you actually played the previous games you'd know) like piramidhead, the combat system was broken, the characters were bland and it the music was not nearly as good as in the first 4 SHs. Homecoming SUCKED. So will Downpur most likely.

I bought Homecoming and it did suck. It was not well done, period.
The old games were directed very well, they grasped how to make a game truly disturbing, unsettling, and shocking. They didn't just throw shit at you going "this kind of stuff is scary to you, right?" They didn't need a psych evaluation at the beginning to try and scare you. Silent Hill 2 was scary as shit because they knew the basics of how to lead an audience through environment, ambiance, and story.

I'm not an obsessed fanboy, I've only played 2 and Homecoming, I don't care what Konami does, I've never had a problem with the controls (as a matter of fact Homecoming was easier to control than 2), and I'm not saying it wasn't fun. All I was trying to say is Silent Hill 2 was a unique and scary experience and Homecoming wasn't, it sucked in comparison. It wasn't scary, unique, or well done, and that isn't the fault of old fans, it was a poor production team.

The fourth game had a good story because it tied in some of what the Order was doing with their victims, and I think it has something to do with Alessa's past. I think Walter knew both Alessa and Claudia, even though they don't signify that. It just seems that way. Not to mention, there's a piece of paper in the Wish House that talks of Dahlia trying to look for her daughter. So it ties it more than you think.....
