  • I'm a PROUD Local 831 Union worker in the City of New York. I have the best Union in the world, 20 years and out if I chose with a full pension. I love my job and respect every worker that came before me. I pray as if everything depends on God, and work as if everything depends on me.

  • amen....proud to be a union member !!!!!

  • Long Live the Workers!

  • Happy Labor Day, YouTube!

  • if the republicans get in the way we're going roll right over them, roll right over them, we're going roll the union on

  • Roll over Governor Walker!!!!

  • This song was written to support the workers who were trashed by management in the quest for profit. Today? Read: OUTSOURCING. No more management/worker issues. Move the jobs to China where they have no labor problems. I recall as a child, my dad, having lost his job and struggling for more than 4 years to find work, finally managed to join a smaller service union, and was almost immediately employed. If not for the union my family would have gone on the dole. Unions have their place.

  • I have worked for many years right beside of union workers and watched as the union worked a man for two or so weeks and then bring in another man and work him for a couple of weeks, to me this does not make a great deal of sense, and I have seen guys sign up for a union spot but only have the union send him to a far away job site or even out of state, the union does these things as a way to keep as many union men on paper. again! to me this is not how a man should have to work.

  • Fantastic! I've heard so many different points of view about the Unions in America; I'm no expert on the subject. But LISTEN TO THE WORKERS!

  • Considering the times we live in unions are more important needed to protect workers rights. Great video Erik.

  • @PressPlay2Go Than would be a wonderful thing but that not what the unions do, I have yet to meet a union worker that does not have bad things to say about the way in which they were treated by the union.

  • @NCLUSA u have now want my fone number

  • Mange tak Erik!

  • Unions started out as a good and (necessary thing) but then like most things that the politicians (and other criminals ) get their hands on ): the leaders get rich and very corrupt. So now today when I hear the word Union I think of how the teacher's Unions are in the pocket of the Left, and how in the Hell can anyone expect a man that makes 15 dollars an hour buy a car that was made by a man making 76 dollars an hour?,,,does seem to be a bit one sided.

  • @NCLUSA you are of course correct that union 'leaders' are damaging to unions, but to claim they're in the 'pocket of the left' is patently wrong; if you've got someone in your pocket, you're not on the left; you can't use your wealth exclusively for your own benefit and still be left wing. by being highly paid and in a position of power, union 'leaders' have an incentive to keep the system the same - they therefore can't be progressive, as the left intrinsically is.

  • @NCLUSA (ran out of space!) as for the pay thing, your heart's the right place but you're not thinking about the big picture. organised properly (i.e. no fat cats running them as a business) unions should struggle for the increased wages of everyone - and ultimately we should hope to destroy the power of those who'd be our bosses, and let everyone share in the wealth of this amazing world generations of working class people have helped to make, only to have it stolen from them by 'the boss'
