@clara20597 The name of the freestyle is "Pirates and Treasures" - using selected pieces from "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "National Treasure". The fun is in the discovery... :-)
He is an awesome horse. I'm not sure if he is still for sale, but we are heading down to Florida this weekend and I can find out if you are interested...
Yes, I believe they received a 78%+. It was one of the high scores of the show. They also won the BLM Freestyle for their level. We are very proud of them!
Wow that is AWESOME! I am also doing a freestyle with my horse, but it is only 1st level. My trainer and I finally finished the choreagraphy today and I am so excited and can't wait to start! Looks like so much fun! I was watching this video because I want to do my freestyle to Pirates music too =] It's just so powerful that it's perfect! Thanks for the inspiration! =D
That's great! We are so happy this video inspired you. Keep going! Any level can be exciting and fun with the right music, choreography and practice. A Training Level rider also saw this pair do their stuff and was inspired to do a Freestyle even though Training Level Freestyles aren't "officially" recognized. She was the Adult Year End Freestyle High Point winner for 2008 in her area. Let us know how you are doing and good luck!
Thanks! And of course I will let you know how we do. =] I am editing the music myself, so is there any tips you can give a beginner? It's my first time making a freestyle and I can't wait to start!
Thanks...also, do you know exactly how the judges feel about lyrics in the music? I heard it is not favored...but have you noticed that they have a preference?
Lyrics were made "legal" in 2007. As with most things Freestyle, it is very subjective. Depends on the lyrics and if the splices are done well. A good rule of thumb is to keep them to about 20% of the overall piece. Check out EquiChord for more ideas:+))))
i like it much :D The best music

@clara20597 I'll give you a hint: The source of the piece is in the title of the freestyle. Should be easy to "map" out... ;-)

Sure.......Make sure you have a theme, tell a story and create smooth and logical musical transitions.
