It may look like a "lot" of CO2, but you can see the actual number of bubbles/sec entering the water at the bottom of the spiral. It only looks like a lot because the tube is skinny and makes the bubbles appear much larger. There's like 1 bubble every second. I like that Riccia lawn, looks like it will be hard to maintain - lots of trim & net!
