You don't get it, RecceMan. If the government can take away your rights, then your freedom exists ONLY at their whim. They COULD show up one day, throw you in jail, and never even tell you why.... The president's job is first and foremost to protect the Constitution, not violate it. As the saying goes, those who are willing to give up freedoms for security deserve neither.

You don't get it! Nothing has changed it has ALWAYS been that way! Either IRS or your State Department of Enviroment can and has always had that ability! Wise up and come up with something REAL! Until then I will wait patiently!

When our government can declare any of its citizens an enemy combatant and then jail them without so much as a trial, THAT is a direct violation of the Constitution. Just because you haven't had this happen to you (yet) does not make it acceptable.
