The second to last tooth is not removed to remove stress. But its there, so that you dont have to shave them down when you shim it to the perfect AoE. And you should not remove them but shave them down. Otherwise, the stress on the pickup-tooth of the piston will be significantly higher than with just shaving, because the stress of 3 teeth is now lasting on one

The bore of a barrel is not all the matters, a smooth barrel 6.04 barrel will perform better than a 6.02 barrel that isnt as smooth
