After he's been sitting in it for a while, they claim it's now one degree away from freezing and indeed they show the thermometer reads 1.4 Celsius. One would think that inserting a grown man into a tub of ice, no matter how cold, would increase the water temperature at least a little.

Watch him load the pistol, you can see the the roller that holds about 8 air pellets. The next hand gun is a real handgun. Also, anyone who thinks it is loaded with blanks is wrong. Blanks wouldn't be firing anything to hit the target.

the cases are different becausewhen the one tht drops on the floor at 13:58 also appears earlier on when he shoots the rifle. its a rifle case the one coming out of the pistol is obviously a pistol bullet case
I completely agree with your remark about the handgun, the grouping is extremely accurate for an amateur, simply not achievable without training. However, I would have to say that one should suspect that the gun was firing blanks, with the tight grouping somehow "placed" on the target. Check out the lack of recoil when the gun is fired....
@commonsensedictates The recoil looks to me to be pretty accurate but its always hard to judge on the low frame rates of youtube. The recoil jolt is only short on these 9mm handguns especially when you are a trained marksman you can hold them pretty steady leaning into them (which he does too).

Ok, let me stretch your senses even further..... Pause @ 13:58, The "visual" of the empty case shown falling to the ground is a genuine empty case merely being dropped in view of the camera. Now, bear with me, if you back up and watch closely as that "same" supposed case is ejected 13:57 and try to pause it right after the shot is fired, you should be able to see the blank case... notice how it is undeniably longer. CASE CLOSED
@commonsensedictates You're almost obsessive ;) But I downloaded the stream and looked frame for frame but indeed the cardridge that hits the ground is not the cardridge that was fired.
@rdoetjes are we really gonna argue over a clip of a cartridge hitting the ground? the clip was obviously recorded later on after the firing range footage had been recorded, so that was definately not the cartridge that was fired. if it was the same, then you would have to judge EXACTLY where the case would land since the camera shot doesn't move during those clips, which given the randomness of human nature is almost impossible to predict...although this is derren brown here...

Watch him load the pistol, you can see the the roller that holds about 8 air pellets. The next hand gun is a real handgun. Also, anyone who thinks it is loaded with blanks is wrong. I have the distinct idea that Chris is a very good marksman but that he was purposely given amnesia of that skill before this sequence.
Nobody (and I am a hypnotist+gun-lover and don't believe in it really) can shoot a handgun that accurately the 1st time.
Derren did this 'forget your skill' before with the girl and her piano skills at trick or treat.
