Can I Ask you a comment on how you did these effects with Vegas, or at least how you learned to use them? (Characters popping up from a scene in different layers without the rest of their backround, foggish effect filters, ect)

The first effect is called rotoscoping, where you cut out the frames individually and delete the backgrounds (i prefer photoshop over the vegas method) and the color filters and such were generated mostly through track blending modes (overlay, color burn, etc) using multiple visuals and/or deformed scenes.
