  • Nirvana SCOFF!!!

  • Yea, order now all the a pro guitar shop pedal demos hits

  • yo andy/proguitar shop, you should put a list of all the songs you play in the video so people can check out any riff they don't recognize

  • What is the first song (from 0:00 to 0:50) ?

  • @elpiuvros

Funeralopolis by the mighty Electric Wizard, brah

    get the album Dopethrone

  • @elpiuvros funeralopolis by Electric Wizard, one of my favorites

  • I just got my hyperion. This thing is wacky as hell. Get one.

  • @therealbigdrewbowski I just ordered one. Can't wait!

  • is there a current model devi ever has out? I know sometimes they rename pedals to keep interest up

  • Does this pedal suck out allot of low end? Im kinda wanting one but i play doom/stoner metal. I need gobs of low end. lol

  • @eatthemoon13 yesssssssssssssss. at least with my amp/guitar combo. it doesnt like my amp i dont think :(

  • @eatthemoon13 I've played it in Three different tbe amps, and it sucks low end a tiny bit from my mesa rectoverb.... but then agian... most fuzz pedals do. My rivera s120 and my vox nighttrain were perfect with this pedal. My solution with the rectoverb was to turn the bass up on the amp (as it has more than enough).

  • This got discontinued.... NOOOOOO

  • @saraband0 no it didn't lol

  • @summinrandom

Oh....I just realized it was the one with this especially more badass cover.

  • 3:35 King Crimson Hell Yeah!

  • @ipuyac87 I like this guy's taste in music :D

  • FUCK YEAH ELECTRIC WIZARD

  • Song at 4:52 ?

  • Sounds like Corrosion of Conformity in a box....all you need is Pepper Keenan singing along with it and you have a band right there! Nice...I hate fuzz because it does not feel good on the fingers...this one feels good through my monitor...that says alot!

  • so this is a fuzz pedal, on a lead channel?

it doesn't sound as impressive as the description.

I'm going to buy this so i'll eat it.

  • Is there any difference between this and the Soda Meiser?

  • @HitmanJenkins1 Lots. Different schematic, and overall tone. Soda Meiser is more scrambled. This is more reminescent of a superfuzz.

  • This may be the most evil fuzz I've ever heard. Perfect for that sludgey, doomy metal. Is PGS gonna do a review of the Aenima at some point?

  • This may be the most evil fuzz I've ever heard. Perfect for that sludgey, doomy metal.

  • ELECTRIC WIZARD FUCK YEEEAAHH!!!

  • Cool pedal and cheap too!

  • Do you guys have this pedal with the new graphic?

  • I can't believe how many people recognize '21'st Century Schizoid Man' by King Crimson, which surely beats the hell outta most of the 'grungy' crap I hear in so many pedal demos. Good on ya Andy.

  • wow, 21st century schizoid man. i like.

  • MOTHER FUCKIN' ELEEEEEEEECTRIC WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SICK!

  • wouldn't be a distortion demo without nirvana ;)

  • @louisalive its fuzz!!!!

  • I love your pedals Devi, only you can make a pedal that make me sound like my guitar was dropped in lair of sick badgers that pissed and puked on it for weeks until a brave Mexican fireman managed to retrieve it but unfortunately he dropped on the highway and it got squashed by a lorry. Or sometimes they make me sound like I got confused and brought a 1992 fax machine to the gig instead of the guitar. I hate conventionality and thats why I use your pedals!

  • @psychohydra So do you recommend it?

  • Christ, this has to be the heaviest fuzz I've heard in a good long time.

    Sold!

  • @pieman419 check out the aenima... devi is the bomb

  • Funny, I wonder if this will offer the Fripp like sustain? Oh, he's playing King Crimson!

  • andy plays so much bleach era nirvana... respect

  • How can I not buy this pedal after hearing him bust out 21st Century Schizoid Man?

  • dont know how i found this video. dont know where it came from. but once i discovered this pedal, I took me a week to make enough money just to buy it. Win.

  • this or the shoegazer? This is only $100 while the shoegazer is $200. Money is an option. I like to play all kinds of grunge, nirvana, pumpkins, beck, electric wizard etc. I already have a big muff

  • @MrBlink41SUM personally id say this, the shoegazer in my opinion is a little too dark and u just melt away with the band without being heard

  • this is the best sounding fuzz that ive heard online for Electric Wizard tones.

  • does this give out any oscillation??

  • Was that an At the Gate homage at the beginning?

  • I have a Hyperion and a Big Muff, true the muff has more control, but the devi has more balls and grit. Also it's way louder with the boost, and it has a natural gate. Both cool pedals though.

  • I don't think you can kill a Big Muff. That being said,

    "Nuclear warheads ready to strike/

This world is so fucked, let's end it tonight

    Fuck"

  • Nirvana Scoff!!

  • The big muff is weak POS in comparrison to any Devi pedal. Infact I'm trying to sell my Russian Big Muff if anyone wants to buy it

  • @corked7mute new muffs maybe but a triangle muff will knock any devi pedal outta the ballpark in my opinion at least

  • You sell it yet?

  • @corked7mute how much

  • In The Court Of the Crimson King, sweeeet.

  • Yeah, Schizoid Man. Awesome. Nice sounding pedal. Me want. I've got a Nick Nitro, which is quite cool. But the simplicity of this looks nice, and sounds like it can handle chords quite well, which is unusual for a fuzz based pedal...?

  • electric wizard and crimson? andy does it again... damn i want to start a band with this guy. half the reason i watch these is to see what badass stuff he's gonna play.

  • @ASalinas79 And it sounds so good w/the hyperion! Great EW tone!!

  • When can we expect to see a Shoegazer demo?

  • through the Les Paul it sounds way better. perfect for Sludge, Doom, etc.

  • YES! KING CRIMSON!

  • Hyperion or Soda Meiser please help :(

  • I got a Hyperion and single coil guitars, sucks. Idk about the soda meiser. Check out her Supermassive blackhole too. I haven't tried my Hyperion with humbuckers yet though. The pedal just sucks a lot of low end sound off, in other words, it comes out all trebble no bass. Great for lead, bad for rhythm.

  • Does anyone know what the first song Andy plays is?

  • It's Funeralopolis by Electric Wizard

  • Devi evers the shiiiiiiiiiiit!

  • shame about the stupid emo look of the pedal

  • i think it suits it nicely

    blood spatter, creepy evil dude

    and it sounds fuckin amazing

    which is wut really counts

    u know man

  • I don't think it's emo, it looks more like psychotic anime.

  • @tiddlywinks98712

You should see some of the artist's other work. Check Deviant art for "Semyaza." It's truly screwed up.

  • AW Tight he played scoff by nirvana.

  • I love this pedal. If you turn your gtr volume down to where is juuuuuuuuuust overcomes the gate, you get a really great starved sound with quick decay. Run an OD after it and you can get some really whacky sounds.

It also likes to see dirt in front of it too. It clobbers the gate and gives you tremendous amounts of sustain. It's great for lead playing.

Cheers, and long live Devi Ever!

  • doesnt come close to the big muff. This produced such a small sound.

  • Yeah i own one. I have to try a big muff.

The reason it doesn't compare is because it take a lot of the low end out as common with most fuzz pedals. Other than the big muff.

This pedal can be used with bass too. Which can make up for some lost low ends.

  • I tried the Hyperion with my WSL AZ Rickenbacker clone, and it's very fun, they are still enough bass; but the sound squeaks great !

  • @maximpatrich Dude you can't be serious. Youtube compresses the sound so much that you never hear the all the dynamics. You should never make a decision based on youtube.

  • ELECTRIC WIZAAARD KOOL

  • 2.40 nirvana - scoff

    crazy cool

  • Devi Ever make some great pedals, if you are into the style they make. And yes! King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid man. I love Robert Fripp's Tone.

  • ELECTRIC WIZARD YES!

  • love the king crimson!

  • are you guys gonna be carrying the legend of bit?

  • I believe they demo'd one in the past but I suppose an updated video wouldn't hurt.

  • @Wakisazhi oh its not showing up on the site for ones they are selling

  • whats the last song?

  • sounds nothing like mine with the control all the way up.

ilikeminebetter:) it kind of explodes. like in devi's video. its an awesome pedal. you can get 8 bit sounds by turning the volume almost all the way down.

  • funeralopolis!

  • Sounds like my Muff.....admittedly I think the prior owner mod'd my muff a little bit because it sounds different from the last three Muff's I've owned...but that's what my current Muff does.

  • electric wizard ?

  • i enjoy devi's pedals. a lot actually. i have the hyperion and the rocket.

but i will say, they are very much one-trick-ponies.

and in a full band situation (there's five of us) it doesn't sit in the mix, you have to be louder than everything by a long shot to be heard.

but for experimenting /recording i really like these pedals. hopefully my two cents will help anyone on the fence.

  • this will be a lethal weapon with B standard tuning. I have started to collect money for it!

  • Huh, I really like this compared to the rest of Devi Ever's stuff; for some reason I can't get into it. But this one actually sounds pretty good, and usable. Very woolly, if that makes sense.

  • another fuzz face clone...

  • hahaha

  • nickbara, dude... It's a clone of a Big Muff, You honestly can't tell the difference between a fuzz face and a big muff? fail

  • it sounds like a classic BC108 silicon fuzz

  • ...

    Not really

  • lol

  • its not a clone blur gooossh

  • Tis based on teh muff mr. attackman see ya on ILF ;)

  • thats the first devi pedal that ive heard that i didnt hate!

  • SCOFF FTW! Gimme back my alcohol!

    Killer sounding pedal.

  • kill a million

  • want want want

  • 21st Century Schizoid Man. \m/

  • bring me back my alcohol!!!!

  • il take my modded big muffs thanks.

  • more devi ever pedal demo's!!!!

  • I like this sucker a lot... but I really want to get The Legend of Fuzz... Partially because it has sharp, destructive fuzz tones... and partly because I was a HUGE Legend of Zelda fan growing up...

  • I can get the same sound just turning the freak en tone knob on my guitar.

  • uh, sorry...i've tried it, and you can't.

  • frickin' love this pedal, it's become my main fuzz very quickly. Just dunno if I'm using it to its full potential because I keep it at unity gain and that's so low on the volume knob....

  • I love Devi Ever

  • this thing makes the big muff sound so wussy.... lol

  • Oh my frigin god.. I really don't know what to get.. This.. the Deep Trip Kryptonite or the Big Muff...

  • The Hyperion is a Big Muff killer, just listen!

  • Deep Trip all the way! Brazilian Custom Shop Hand Made rules!

  • Deep Trip all the way! Brazilian Custom Shop Hand Made ruleeeeees!

  • KING CRIMSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That thing sounds perfect for that "Dopesmoker" tone. Great vid

  • awesome sound, i want

  • this makes my wana burn my big muff XD

  • What kind of distortion pedal would suggest for a active pickup equiped guitar? Fuzz, Overdrive, Distortion or some kind of hybrid.

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 try a bunch of pedals out and find out what sounds best for you and your style of music (except BOSS od/d/f pedals, avoid at all cost. also If you want a death metal sound buy a dan electro FAB metal so you dont waste money on a pedal thats going to make the same sort of sound anyway), having active pickups doesnt limit you to one kind of od/d/f sounding good.

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 i have emg81/60 on my jackson and am looking for a solid distortion aswell. i heard that the ibanez ts9 is the way to go, but i have yet to try 1

  • id say the fulltone ocd is a very solid drive too.

  • doesnt matter. Active pickups really dont make that much of a difference when it comes to pedals. All depends what you like to play.

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 im looking for that also. as i have a boss metal zone but it is a bit too noisy(cant really make out much) i heard the ibanez ts9 is the way to go for that. but i hav yet to try 1 for myself

  • TS-9s are excellent pedals for Blues and Classic Rock. They have a nice, light-medium gain that adds warm, rich distortion, especially to humbuckers. However, if Metal or other heavy music is your goal, the TS-9 probably won't be able to get you there. You'll need more gain and ideally, a way to scoop your mids.

  • Not really - if your amp is already heavy as hell, the TS-9 is a perfect push over the cliff for solos. Adam D from Killswitch Engage uses one with his ridiculously heavy Mesa Boogie Rig.

  • @KG739 I don't know if anyone has already answered your comment, but I thought I'd let you know that very few heavy players use the TS9 for it's distortion. It's usually referenced more for it's "boosting" properties. In other words, they run it into a setup that's already capable of high gain, and use to push it a little further over the top. Look for a good high gain amp first.

  • Active pickups and Fuzz don't mix man.. At least not high impedance input type fuzzes like Fuzz Faces.

This one metal producer (he did Trivium, don't know his name) said he uses a TS set pretty much clean as a sort of buffer into a dirty amp for more chugging power. Think of it, the TS freq range is PERFECT for cutting through the mix!

  • This fuzz pedal actually sounds tight and not out of control. Cool.

  • Some of the best fuzz I've heard all year.

  • ELECTRIC WIZARD!!!!

  • That's a VERY nice sounding fuzz... Merry Christmas everyone!

  • Nice Nirvana. =]

  • this sing looks evil... like a cover of a deathcore/screamo band

  • sweet brah

  • Wow you seriously played Electric Wizard................. Im a even bigger fan now!

  • man.. im gonna buy all of devievers pedals. the pedals all look and sound good

  • Oh sweet, you guys have to do more Devi Ever pedals. I can't wait to see what Andy can do with the Shoegazer.

  • This pl0x.
