  • I wasn't into it at first. I actually thought the album Thank You Happy Birthday was a little too 'noisy', (except some songs like Flow Rubber Ball or Shake Me Down) compared to the first one. Urgh how could I have doubts on this incredible band, I hate myself for that. So amazing.

  • this song is so god damn weird

  • am I the only one that can't like this song on like dislike?

I love this song want to click like cant.. >.<

  • I adore Cage the Elephant. <3 <3

  • i wanna be just like matt

  • I love the title of this song!! It makes me want to be just like them! lol

  • 4:22 orgasm or weed?

  • INDY KIDZ FREAKING RULE THE WORLD. keep it up, my hipsters;)

  • @TheErikaMorgan I think this song is making fun of hipsters lol.....amaing song

  • @94ddare yeah i was joking..

  • @TheErikaMorgan isnt youtube too mainstream for you?

  • @TheErikaMorgan Ya dude this song is totally making fun of hipsters. ha ha And pretty soon being a hipster will become mainstream so that whole phad will dissolve.

  • i wanna be just like you

  • Love the punk in this song

  • This song reminds me of an extremely bad trip

  • grunge is back!!! go matt!!

  • I always skip this song when im listening to their album :/

  • This sounds a bit like mcr

  • I hear A LOT of Pixies influence. Probably why I like them so much.

  • I actually really like this

  • Ohmygod this is just, quote: "so cool.."

    CTE are amazing!

  • Cage the elephant is one of my favorite bands but this song is an exception. I'm not saying it's bad it's just definitely not for me.

  • I WANNA BE JUST LIKE YOU!

  • wtf is this

  • thrash till youre trashed

  • some of the screams in this sound like the dead kennedys

  • i think this is their "trippiest" song but i like trippy

  • What I can gather past the 2 minute mark: AAAAAAAAAAAAAH(x3) I GOT I GOTTA GO DOWN TO THE SCHOOLHOUSE AND GET SUM AND AND AND GET SUM SHOES AND THE RIGHT HAIRCUT GET THE RIGHT HAIRCUT AND AND AND THEN I'LL I'LL PUT THE SHOES ON MY FEET *unintelligible muttering* THE RIGHT HAIRCUT *screaming noises* *noises that resemble someone in the process of being fucked* so cool, yeah, so cool... yeah. so cool, yeah... I wanna be just like you... so cool, yeah, so cool...
  • I WANNA BE JUST LIKE YOUUUUU

  • Best song to ever make fun of hipsters

  • this is so fucking good.

  • Sorry, but this album sounds like shite compared to the original. Perhaps if the instrumentals didn't become a punk Beach Boys and the vocals didn't eat a fork infested with rabies I could enjoy the thing, but the lyrics don't mean anything anymore, nor are they even understandable... Sorry Cage the Elephant, I just miss the bad ass music from the first album... the crying little temper tantrum in this one just doesn't do it for me.

  • @LieutenantOBrien and let the "this band went downhill" comments begin. a little early in their musical careers to judge them like that dont ya think?

  • @LieutenantOBrien thats what i thought at first. their first album sounds like more of my taste in music. but just give this album a chance and youll realize its great. this album is more experimental punk in some songs (indy kidz, sell yourself, sabertooth tiger) and more soothing in others (aberdeen, shake me down, right before my eyes) and japenese buffalo is a combination, fast punky AND melodic. you'll love it soon, trust

  • @LieutenantOBrien If you don't like it that's understandable. I don't think this album i meant to be able to be listened to by all types of people. I understand where you're coming from. It is definitively different than their first album. But this song is one of the worst songs on the album in my opinion. Shake Me Down, Aberdeen, both great songs. But no need to judge. They're young

  • @scarfy54321 this is my favourite song on the album..

  • To be fair I would take hipsters to the side and shoot them or even better stone them to death...I'm an indie and hipsters just stole our way and turned it to shite giving us a bad na,e

  • This album is so much fun to listen to on the road. <3

  • haha not very indy lol i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dudehappystar what? i dont get it...

  • Every song I've heard of Cage the elephant is pure gold i love them all, no matter what I will eventually come to a conclusion that they are geniuse!

  • yes i love taking shots at indy kidz and fucking hipsters!! those pretentious assholes can go suck a fat one!!

  • @Mbsmoothie funny cuz all of those people show up to their shows.

  • @TaffyRaphie and then after they'd talk about how much of individuals they are not liking a genre of music... after being at a show with thousands of others lol......

  • @Mbsmoothie Listen to yourself. "I love taking shots at hipsters"? Yeah, go ahead, target a group and beat the shit out of them, just like we do with all the other scenes. You know, I hate scene kids and hipsters and any other fashion trend as much as the next guy, but this is just being an asshole about it. You're probably part of some trend that someone else hates, so be careful with what you say... Though, this is a good song about a scene that doesn't really know itself...

  • "I wanna be just like yewwwwwwww."

That made me outrageously happy <3

  • this album has totally grown on me.

at first I wasn't too into this

but I kind of dig it now

  • @RightOfNowhere same here man...

  • @RightOfNowhere yeah same for me still like there first one a bit more

  • ''I never did that well on test's

  • Hurray for hipsters...

  • @CrazyKrafty they said this album they were goin away from mainstream so they can probably get people who dont know good music like yourself away from the people that actually like them. (like myself so i thank them) have fun with your fall out boy n panic at the disco S$%#. CTE ALL DAY.

  • Thank you ixxpsyc0xii

  • if you dont like this album, go die. i love cage the elephant.

  • hey check out my bands videos, we have so much respect for CTE. feeback would be killer

  • wow this sux the first cte cd is good but now dese songs are buttsocks!

  • @CrazyKrafty What the hell is a "buttsock"????

  • @CrazyKrafty sucks" "these" Buttsocks? i think thats a condom for most guys but probably what your boyfriend wears when banging you in the ass. :D Thanks come again.

  • @thunderzerker66 lol that made me laf

  • wow this song is tight and the 4 people that disliked this are obviously indy kids

  • wow this song is tight

  • this song was amazing in concert. his screams remind me of Cobain's screams. this song as a whole is very punk rock

  • finally, our generations Nirvana.

  • reminds me a little bit of Nirvana's album Incesticide

  • ha ha I like Indy music AND Cage the Elephant...it's not that big of a deal...

  • -Heartmelts- I love these guys so much. and yeah all you ppl who are talkin bout the steriostypes. I hate when ppl try to fit ONE persona. I am a teen and i have multiple diffrent personas depends on who im around but the one i am always around with is the one i created all on my own.

  • Probably kind of obvious. But I am totally confident that this is about kids today who see "cool" labels on the internet and want to fit the stereotype to try being accepted.

My school is filled with people who claim to be "emo" or "scene" or some bullshit because they see it on the internet.

And that they will go through extreme measures to fit the stereotype. I hate hate hate it.

  • @34ChannelBlog Yeah it probably is about that. Just people that are posers.

  • I like the effect they use on Matt's voice in between verses and stuff. Reminds me of the post choruses on Scentless Apprentice by Nirvana.

  • "get the right haircut" :)

  • I'm kinda guilty of what he talks about in the second verse.

while the world goes down the drain I eat my popcorn from the bag

  • Reminds me of "Turnaround" by Nirvana. cool shit.

  • @Seitzy411 or "Endless Nameless"

  • definately one of there best songs, even though all there songs a fuckin awesome xD

  • 90's mainstream punk/alternative influence not metal but still great

  • Yes!

    :D

  • :)

  • Butthole Surfers and Mudhoney influenced these guys, it's pretty evident.

  • @DoItYourselfAbortion And Marilyn Manson, definitely.

  • @DoItYourselfAbortion totally agree !

  • @DoItYourselfAbortion Don't forget the Pixies

  • @DoItYourselfAbortion Haha, your name is the best.

  • @DoItYourselfAbortion But mostly, The Pixies did.

  • who are they calling copy pasters

  • Youre not VEVO lol

  • FREAKING AWESOME and why does this remember me from iggy pop :s

  • so when i heard that cage the elephant was coming out with a new album, i was endlessly excited.. now that i hear it.. it is not what i expected, but it sticks to what i liked about them in the first place, which was their obvious influence from classic rock and overall good music... excellent.. metal-ish influence here i suppose? definitely good shit here though

  • @jbarnett007 just wait, it'll grow on you

  • @jbarnett007 i wouldnt say metal

  • @zamdude7 yeah.. i agree now.. but at a first listen, i just kinda threw metal in there

  • @jbarnett007 Sell Yourself is probebly the most Metal
